Reviews

  • I have attended many seminars led by Jackie and referred many clients. She is warm, professional and clear headed.
  • This attorney did not advocate for me with respect to her credentials regarding Jewish divorce or domestic violence, and actually allowed lawyers to violate my rights and my caretaking rights as a mother. She has since added advocacy for Muslim divorce to her profile and while I cannot speak to the details of being Muslim, I believe the lawyers committed substantive and procedural unconscionability. As a result my healthcare, consumer , employment, education, and civil rights have been violated over and over. She touts helping with sexual harassment, cyber-harassment and intellectual property, and she did not. If anything, I have had issues as a result of the legal language, and I have a trail of police reports going back to 2018. I have encountered issues in interacting with Muslim clients and business' as a result of her actions in conjunction with my ex-husband's lawyers from Hoffman and Behar. I think she is a disappointment to what it means to be a Jewish female professional, and I think both she and her firm should be held accountable. I live in one of the most secularly diverse neighborhoods of Brooklyn, and I find her profile to be completely disrespectful.
  • Jacqueline Harounian is a very special and unique matrimonial attorney that represents integrity, honesty, and compassion which is so rare to find amongst other divorce attorneys. She represented me as a single mom of 3 young children, and her compassion and understanding was something I would’ve never expected from what I had heard of other divorce attorneys. She completely acted out of her humanity, and absolutely was not representing me as a lawyer trying to drag out the case for no reason, to make money off of me. We ended up becoming more than a lawyer client-She had become my good friend, that was there the entire way. One of her best qualities is that she’s accessible. I had an emergency on a Saturday night late at night, and she spent a nice 30 minutes on the phone with me, advising me what to do. She has taken time when she was with her family, to console me, and guide me through agonizing situations. I highly recommend her for her professionalism, knowledge, compassion, and being able to get things done. She’s both a shark and kind at the same time, which is so rare to find.
  • The moment I met with Jackie and Renee, I knew I would be in great hands. They understood my situation and fully had my back in this "fight" for what was right. They didn't just listen...they heard me. Jackie and Renee stood up to my ex who bullied me and was abusive throughout our marriage. My ex's attorney only helped him continue the behavior though his constant battling and desire to fill his own pockets with money over the past 3 1/2 years. The excessive cost my ex and his attorney inflicted on me was truly inconceivable. Jackie heard enough and would not let this continue. They acted in a quick, swift, manner to complete my case, keeping in mind what would be best for my children and myself. I regret not coming to them from the very beginning. Thank you for all your support and expertise. My children and I are so excited to begin our new lives together.
  • She is not professional, with no communication skills!! Sends bills without doing her job right. Do yourself a favor and get another lawyer!!

When exploring the "Nearby Lawyers" category for legal assistance, it is essential to consider the diverse experiences and perspectives shared by previous clients to make an informed decision. The available reviews for Jacqueline Harounian present a mixed picture of client experiences, offering insights into her professional demeanor and the outcomes achieved in different legal contexts.

One reviewer recounts attending seminars led by Jacqueline Harounian, describing her as warm, professional, and clear-headed, and notes having referred many clients to her. This positive feedback suggests that in certain settings, such as educational seminars and initial interactions, Jacqueline Harounian may present herself in a favorable and competent manner, capable of earning the trust and confidence of those she encounters and advises.

However, another, significantly more detailed review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This client expresses profound dissatisfaction with the legal representation received, specifically concerning matters related to Jewish divorce and domestic violence. The reviewer alleges that Jacqueline Harounian did not adequately advocate for their rights, particularly concerning her purported credentials in these specialized areas. The client further claims that Jacqueline Harounian allowed opposing counsel to violate their rights, including their caretaking rights as a mother. This paints a concerning picture of a lack of effective advocacy in critical family law matters.

The dissatisfied client also points out that Jacqueline Harounian's professional profile has since expanded to include advocacy for Muslim divorce. While the reviewer states an inability to comment on the specifics of Muslim divorce law, they express a belief that substantive and procedural unconscionability occurred in their own case. This raises questions about the consistency and quality of representation across different areas of family law.

Furthermore, the negative review indicates that despite Jacqueline Harounian's profile touting assistance with issues such as sexual harassment, cyber-harassment, and intellectual property, the client did not receive adequate support in these areas. The reviewer goes as far as to suggest that they experienced negative consequences as a result of legal language used in their case and mentions a history of police reports dating back to 2018, alleging ongoing violations of their healthcare, consumer, employment, education, and civil rights. This detailed account raises serious concerns about the effectiveness and potential negative impact of the legal services provided in this particular instance.

The dissatisfied client also expresses having encountered issues in interactions with Muslim clients and businesses, which they attribute to Jacqueline Harounian's actions in conjunction with their ex-husband's lawyers. This suggests potential repercussions beyond the immediate legal case, affecting the client's broader personal and professional life.

The reviewer concludes by expressing disappointment with Jacqueline Harounian as a Jewish female professional and suggests that both she and her firm should be held accountable. They also find her professional profile to be disrespectful, particularly given the secularly diverse nature of their Brooklyn neighborhood. This strong personal condemnation underscores the depth of the client's negative experience and their perception of professional misconduct or inadequacy.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive and universally positive assessment of Jacqueline Harounian's legal services. While one account praises her warmth, professionalism, and clarity in a seminar setting, the other details a deeply negative experience involving serious allegations of inadequate representation, failure to advocate for client rights in sensitive family law matters, and negative repercussions extending beyond the courtroom. These discrepancies highlight the importance for potential clients to conduct thorough due diligence and consider all available information when selecting legal counsel.

Given the limited information available and the significant divergence in client experiences, it is not possible to definitively outline the typical environment of Jacqueline Harounian's office or provide a comprehensive list of all services offered. Her profile reportedly includes divorce (with specific mention of Jewish and Muslim divorce), domestic violence, sexual harassment, cyber-harassment, and intellectual property. However, the negative review casts doubt on the effectiveness of her representation in at least some of these areas.

In terms of features, the positive review suggests warmth, professionalism, and clarity as potential attributes. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about advocacy skills, knowledge in specialized areas like Jewish divorce and domestic violence, and the overall impact of her legal representation on client rights and well-being. The stark contrast between these accounts prevents the identification of consistent and reliable features of her legal practice.

For local users in Great Neck seeking legal assistance and considering Jacqueline Harounian based on her presence in the "Nearby Lawyers" category, it is strongly recommended to carefully consider both the positive and negative feedback available. The positive review suggests potential strengths in communication and professional demeanor, while the detailed negative review raises significant concerns about the quality of representation in specific legal areas, particularly family law matters involving divorce and domestic violence, as well as other listed areas of expertise. Potential clients should seek further information, conduct additional research, and consider consulting with multiple attorneys to ensure they find representation that aligns with their specific legal needs and expectations.

In conclusion, the available information on Jacqueline Harounian presents a mixed and somewhat contradictory picture. While one client found her to be warm, professional, and clear-headed in a seminar setting, another client reported a deeply negative experience involving allegations of inadequate advocacy, violation of rights, and negative consequences across various aspects of their life. This significant discrepancy underscores the importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting legal representation. Local users in Great Neck should carefully weigh these contrasting perspectives and seek additional information to make an informed decision about whether Jacqueline Harounian's services align with their individual legal requirements.
