Retained him years ago for an estate issue. An unethical attorney who misrepresented what he could do for me at the outset just to get me to retain him obviously , since he knew I had recently inherited money. I realize this all now in retrospect unfortunately. After misrepresenting what he was capable of doing for me from the beginning so that I would retain him, he proceeded to basically do nothing for me except overcharge me for many phone calls and emails I sent to him to try to get somewhere with my legal objectives which he failed to assist me with. Later on he more or less admitted that he was not even sure he could have done what I had wanted him to do when I first retained him. But by that time he had already gotten a lot of money out of me. Trying to be the type of fair-minded, ethical person that I was at the time, personality traits which he obviously observed and took full advantage of much to my detriment, I actually paid him in full for his 'services'. I probably shouldn't have. My father had just died; I had just gone through a bad divorce and was in a very vulnerable state of mind in general and I got totally taken advantage of by this predatory individual. I will never forget it. Lost at least $5,000 for services he failed to provide. Horrible experience which I will never forget. Don't make the mistake that I did.
