A more detailed review described a "complete lack of follow through" on a trademark application. According to this review, the application sat requiring additional documentation for six months without the attorney contacting the client. Upon the client's follow-up, the review claims the attorney did not recall the client and stated documents were sent when there was no record of it. The review further alleges a reluctant agreement to resubmit the application, followed by continued lack of follow-through, and the application's denial months later due to conflicting titles, all without communication from the attorney. This reviewer concluded by advising others to seek legal services elsewhere for timely and efficient processing.

I worked with Tyler to file a patent. The filing took a very long time. I felt I had to chase him constantly to find out how the filing was progressing. He charged me an extra $500 for some changes, which never ended up being completed. He said he filed the patent but then I never heard from him again. I requested the $500 back since he did no updates but he didn’t respond. Never heard from him again. Wasted time. Wasted money (thousands) . Not happy!
Complete lack of follow through on our trademark application. He let it sit requiring additional documentation for 6 months, without contacting me - then when I called to follow up he had no idea who I was and said he sent the docs, they had no record of it.. He reluctantly agrees to resubmit the application, and again, no follow through. I checked into it, the application was denied months ago for conflicting titles - still have not heard from him at all.. if you want it done quickly, efficiently, or...at all, go somewhere else! 2.5 years of my time wasted.
Tyler Goucher is an extremely nice person, he goes in straight to the point, he allowed me to ask some questions, I asked his fees, utility patent application charged between $6K to $8K implying the variance come from the complexity of the invention, provisional patent application he charged $3.5K, Tyler mentioned also that the USPTO GOV filing fees relatively cheap just for micro entity fees are about $380 - $400, Me saying, and to a broke inventor. seemed like his prices are very high. but I'm sure if you could afford him he may be honorable and worth his REALLY HIGH GAUDY fees $$$$ imho I did try to negotiate with Tyler & offered him a percentage of invention outcome even partial ownership. But his response to that was, "Invention application's take time, I can't take your offer not knowing when your great invention would be profitable, But in mean time my family is still needing to be kept Fed." "IMHO Understandable" he advised me that if you're going to draft a patent application with USPTO GOV that he would recommend that I read up & buy a book called "patent it yourself" written by no lo press! Hi5 ALL Inventors out there good luck! I felt that Tylers and my conversation we had made me realize many things almost leaving me feeling Hopeless, unmotivated and sure I wouldn't be able to accomplish releasing or creating any of my Inventions without extraordinary fee's, I've been researching so much from this time we talked, I haven't publicly released something yet but its time I have to take to make it happen on my own its possible and there are resources out there! Really nice guy But leave you feeling like your dream is impossible! Hence the rating. That's not a good thing IMHO. Thanks for reading. =-) Justin Cram DyingJedi
