Fresh Start Tax LLC

I normally don’t take the time to write reviews but this is one case where I just have to share my wonderful experience. Anyone that has dealt with the IRS and letters you receive, know the tremendous amount of stress this causes. Your first thought is you have nothing and will lose everything including your family! Michael and his team were incredible and actually treat you like a human. No matter the type of issue you have, Fresh Start Tax is who you should consult with. The IRS has no feelings and is run by computer systems. Fresh Start Tax can help navigate and steer you in the right direction as they are actually former IRS agents and know the truth in processes!

Had a truly horrible experience with them! We paid them up front, they said they would help us get some paperwork in line to reopen an audit, but they drug out the process so long that by the time the IRS responded they said they’d destroyed our records. After some correspondence, they completely stopped responding. Basically the only thing they did for us in 3 years is set up a payment plan, something we could have easily done on our own. Absolutely nothing was resolved and now we are behind on more recent tax years. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Please read to the end. First agent I was assigned told me it would be $299 for the retainer so they could start work on my case. I paid immediately, and supplied the agent with everything she asked for right away so she could get started. After looking at the financials I supplied her with, she told me she was sure that the IRS would either grant us a hardship exemption (basically stating that there was no way I could pay the debt) or accept an Offer In Compromise where I would be required to make a payment that would be a small portion of the debt I owed, but would be considered as paid in full (I recorded the conversation so I would have proof). After many unreturned phone calls, the original agent let me know via email that they needed a total of over $1900. Two months later I got a notice from the IRS that Fresh Start Tax had dropped us as clients. Called Fresh Start Tax to find out what the heck was going on; the first agent had closed our case because of missing paperwork we didn't provide, only when I called they were not missing any paperwork.The next day I got an email saying they were assigning another agent, Julie Lynch, to take over our case. Julie was exceptionally prompt and expedient, doing in a week what the previous agent had not been able to do in 6 months. Julie was able to resolve our case in a way that was do-able for us, and went above and beyond to get us a reduction in penalties which made a great deal of difference for us. All in all, if I had it to do over again, I would have asked a lot more questions before hiring this company, or any of the so-called tax relief agencies: you could end up spending money just to find that they can't reduce your debt. It's a gamble and there is no guarantee of results so do your research.

They even take the time to explain what is happening and what needs to be done. They truly understand their client's needs and make you feel less stressed. My tax situation was so out of control I was at a complete loss as to what to do! I’m so glad I choose Fresh Start Tax team....They are so professional and reassuring, gave them the information they requested, and told to go home and relax and not worry. I’m very pleased with the results and final outcome !, I received a letter from the IRS ,that my case was closed- and not collectible. Can’t ask for anything better...THANKS AGAIN-FRESH START TAX.
