As a professional conservator, Francine Teitelbaum's practice likely involves providing crucial support and management for individuals who are unable to care for themselves or their finances. This can arise from various circumstances, including aging, illness, or disability. The role of a conservator is significant, demanding a high degree of responsibility, ethical conduct, and a thorough understanding of the legal and personal needs of those under their care. Typically, a professional conservator acts under the authority of a court, ensuring that the best interests of the conservatee are always the priority.
The services offered by a professional conservator can be diverse and tailored to the specific needs of each case. These may include:
- Financial Management: Overseeing and managing the financial affairs of the conservatee, including bill paying, investment management, and ensuring proper accounting of assets.
- Personal Care: Making decisions related to the conservatee's living arrangements, healthcare, and overall well-being. This involves coordinating with medical professionals, caregivers, and other relevant parties to ensure the conservatee receives appropriate care and support.
- Legal Compliance: Adhering to all court orders and regulations related to the conservatorship, including regular reporting and accountings to the court.
- Estate and Trust Administration: In some cases, a professional conservator may also be involved in the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring assets are managed and distributed according to legal requirements and the wishes of the grantor or testator.

Features of engaging a professional conservator like Francine Teitelbaum often include the benefit of their expertise and experience in navigating the complexities of conservatorship law and practice. Professional conservators are expected to maintain a neutral and objective stance, prioritizing the well-being of the conservatee above all else. Their involvement can provide peace of mind to families who may lack the time, expertise, or emotional capacity to manage the affairs of a loved one.
However, it is crucial for potential clients to conduct thorough due diligence when selecting a conservator. The provided reviews offer a glimpse into the experiences of past individuals who interacted with Francine Teitelbaum. One review expresses significant disappointment with her actions, while another initially found her helpful and informative during initial contact but ultimately experienced a breakdown in communication and an unexpected refusal to proceed with their Living Trust amendment. This resulted in wasted expenses for the clients who had prepared the amendment as requested.
These reviews highlight the importance of clear communication, transparency, and reliability when engaging professional legal services. While initial consultations may be positive, it is essential to ensure that expectations are clearly defined, and commitments are honored. The negative review serves as a cautionary note for prospective clients to thoroughly discuss the scope of services, engagement terms, and potential reasons for non-engagement before incurring any costs or making significant legal arrangements.
For local users considering Francine Teitelbaum Professional Conservator, it would be prudent to:
- Schedule an initial consultation: Discuss your specific needs and understand the services offered in detail.
- Inquire about her experience and qualifications: Understand her background in conservatorship and related fields.
- Clarify the engagement process: Understand the steps involved, including any preliminary work and when billing commences.
- Discuss potential reasons for non-engagement: While personal reasons are private, understanding the circumstances under which services might not proceed can be helpful.
- Request references: If possible and permissible, speaking with previous clients (while respecting confidentiality) can provide further insights.
- Review and understand any engagement letters or agreements carefully: Ensure all terms and conditions are clearly documented.

She was highly recommended to us. But at the end ,we were very disappointed by her actions. We talked to her on the phone and she was very helpful, informative and very understanding. Then we had a meeting in her office and we felt that she would be right person to take over our Living Trust. We were told to prepare an amendment and have her name on it and once it is done we will sign an engagement letter and she will start billing us. We called her when it was done , but she did not return our phone calls. After sending an E mail, she called and we were told that she has personal reasons not do business with us. We were never told what her reasonings were. If we had known this, we would not have prepared the Amendment and and find somebody else. The worst part that we wasted money to prepare and Amendment that we had no use. I am writing this in case somebody would like to hire services , but he/she should be careful.
