Reviews

  • horrible law firm that compounds the challenges of highly skilled immigrants in an already challenging immigration system. Because of how incompetently they handled my case while I was at at a big management consulting firm, here are some of the consequences I have had to bear: 1. Got thrown into a cycle of visa renewals that prevented me from traveling overseas to see immediate family members for more than 2 years 2. Spent thousands to restart the Permanent Residency process from scratch with a new employer and eventually on self-petitioning under EB-1 because Fragomen did not even get me a number in line. I served for almost 5 years at the management consulting firm that had retained Fragomen as immigration counsel 3. If they had not dragged their feet in filing my application or were honest, I would have been a U.S. Permanent Resident in 2011 and a Citizen in 2016. You can read more about my struggles, in part as a result of Fragomen's questionable handling of my Green Card application, over here: bit.ly/1Tbj1eM
  • I agree with most of reviews. Terrible service and No one in this firm care even if Immigration is very important to process on time. They don't work on case for months. No email reply even if company's ask for status they don't care and respond. This Particular location team is worst and they are ruining Frogmen reputation. Because other location team are more professional and no mistake and delay. But this whole team is super slow and don't care about they business. That's why my company is planning to go to other immigrations and no longer interested in continue working with them.
  • Extremely slow moving process, never gonna recommend this firm to anyone. They don't understand their carelessness is negatively impacting our lives. Fragomen is filing my H1b visa transfer through my new employer and its been 5 to 6 weeks they haven't sent the petition to USCIS. I have seen so many H1b transfer for me and my friends in my career, but never heard it take 6 weeks to send the petition to USCIS. Horrible experience.
  • It's clear that they hire incompetents or junior paralegals to maintain their files. Some associates are not updated re: recent changes regarding MX immigration visas. This is an egregious lapse. bordering on malpractice. I have referred this to their corporate leadership for a thorough review of their conduct. Clever marketing and spiffy name-dropping don't qualify as effective, competent representation. "Fragomen Fraud'?
  • Slow, unresponsive, no communication, lack of attention to detail. Waited 5 weeks before emailing them only to find out they forgot to email me. 7 weeks and a missed flight and I still don’t have my visa

Fragomen, a globally recognized immigration law firm, maintains a significant presence in San Francisco, offering a wide array of services designed to address these complex needs. For Californians involved in employment-based immigration, understanding the scope of services and the firm's operational model is key. Fragomen is a global leader in immigration law, offering a comprehensive suite of services designed to meet the complex needs of businesses and individuals worldwide. While the specific services provided by their San Francisco office mirror the firm's global offerings, they are tailored to address the unique requirements of the California market, particularly for employment-based immigration. Based on their general practice areas, Fragomen in San Francisco likely offers services including, but not limited to:

  • Employment-Based Immigration: Assisting companies with securing work visas (e.g., H-1B, L-1, O-1, E-2, TN) for foreign national employees, navigating the PERM labor certification process, and filing employment-based green card petitions (e.g., EB-1, EB-2, EB-3).
  • Global Immigration Strategy and Compliance: Providing strategic advice to multinational corporations on global mobility programs, immigration policy, and compliance with immigration regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Business Visitor Visas: Guiding clients through the process of obtaining B-1 visas and other non-immigrant visas for short-term business visits.
  • Family-Based Immigration: Assisting U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents in sponsoring eligible family members for green cards, although this is generally a smaller part of their corporate-focused practice.
  • Permanent Residency (Green Card) Processes: Managing the intricate steps required to obtain lawful permanent resident status, including Adjustment of Status applications and Consular Processing.
  • Naturalization and Citizenship: Assisting eligible individuals with their applications for U.S. citizenship.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Advising businesses on I-9 compliance, E-Verify requirements, and other immigration-related regulatory matters to minimize risk.
  • Immigration Program Management: Offering technology solutions and outsourced services to manage large-scale corporate immigration programs efficiently.
  • Immigration Policy and Advocacy: Monitoring legislative and policy developments in immigration law and advising clients on their potential impact.

Given their global reputation, Fragomen's services are typically comprehensive, covering the entire lifecycle of an immigration case, from initial assessment and strategy to petition filing, interview preparation, and ongoing compliance.

Fragomen, as a global leader in immigration law, possesses several inherent features and highlights that define its operational model and service capabilities. While specific local office highlights might vary, the firm’s overarching attributes contribute to its prominence in the field:

  • Global Reach and Scale: Fragomen operates as the world’s largest immigration-focused law firm, with offices in numerous countries. This global footprint allows them to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional immigration programs for multinational corporations and provides insights into immigration trends worldwide.
  • Specialized Immigration Focus: The firm is entirely dedicated to immigration law. This specialization means they possess deep expertise in a constantly evolving and highly technical area of law, distinguishing them from general practice firms.
  • Technology-Driven Solutions: Fragomen is known for leveraging proprietary technology platforms to streamline immigration processes, enhance data management, and provide clients with real-time updates and compliance tools. This technological integration aims to improve efficiency and client experience.
  • Extensive Client Base: The firm serves a vast array of clients, from Fortune 500 companies and leading tech giants to smaller businesses and individuals, handling a high volume of diverse immigration cases globally.
  • Thought Leadership: Fragomen frequently publishes updates, alerts, and analyses on new immigration laws and policies, demonstrating their role as a thought leader in the industry. Their legal professionals often speak at conferences and contribute to major publications.
  • Comprehensive Service Portfolio: As detailed in the "Services Offered" section, their services span the full spectrum of employment-based immigration, including visa applications, green cards, compliance, and global mobility strategies.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge feedback from real customers provided in the prompt, which presents a significant counterpoint to the firm’s general reputation. The reviews specifically regarding the San Francisco office highlight:

  • Concerns about Incompetent Handling and Delays: Customers describe significant delays in filing applications, leading to prolonged visa renewal cycles, inability to travel, and considerable personal and financial hardship.
  • Lack of Communication and Responsiveness: A key recurring theme is the perceived lack of care and unresponsiveness from the San Francisco team, including unanswered emails and unaddressed status requests, even from corporate clients.
  • Impact on Client Outcomes: One reviewer explicitly states that the firm's actions led to a substantial delay in achieving permanent residency and citizenship, requiring them to restart the process and incur significant additional costs.
  • Damage to Firm's Reputation: A client indicates that the San Francisco team's performance is "ruining Frogmen reputation" and that their company is considering moving to other immigration firms.

These specific customer reviews suggest that while Fragomen as a global entity has impressive features, the client experience at the San Francisco office has faced significant criticism regarding efficiency, communication, and overall care, which are vital aspects for individuals undergoing complex and time-sensitive immigration processes.

In the realm of highly specialized legal services like corporate and employment-based immigration, law firms like Fragomen typically do not offer consumer-style "promotions" or "special offers." The value proposition is centered on their global expertise, scale, technology solutions, and ability to navigate complex immigration systems for large corporations and their employees. Therefore, you won't find conventional discounts, seasonal sales, or bundled service packages in the manner of retail businesses.

However, the "special offer" from a professional legal service perspective for a firm of Fragomen's stature often comes in the form of initial consultations for corporate clients or potentially for high-volume individual cases. While specific details on whether these consultations are complimentary or fee-based are generally determined upon direct inquiry and the nature of the client relationship (e.g., whether they are retained by an employer), such consultations typically provide an opportunity to:

  • Discuss the specific immigration needs of a company or an individual in an employment context.
  • Receive a preliminary assessment of the situation and potential immigration pathways from a firm with global expertise.
  • Understand Fragomen's comprehensive approach to immigration management, including their technological tools and compliance strategies.
  • Gauge the firm's fit for managing complex corporate immigration programs or individual high-skill visa applications.

Given the nature of the critical feedback from real customers regarding the San Francisco office, a proactive and transparent initial consultation would be particularly important. This consultation would allow prospective clients to directly inquire about case management protocols, communication policies, and specific measures in place to address concerns about delays and responsiveness. For the most accurate information regarding their consultation policies or any specific arrangements for new clients, direct contact with Fragomen's San Francisco office is always recommended. This early engagement is crucial for understanding the firm’s current service model and ensuring alignment with client expectations.

For businesses and individuals in California seeking immigration legal services from Fragomen's San Francisco office, the firm ensures clear and accessible contact information to facilitate inquiries and engagements.

  • Address: 555 Montgomery St 4th floor, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA
  • Phone: (415) 986-1446
  • Mobile Phone: +1 415-986-1446

Prospective clients are encouraged to utilize these contact details to schedule a consultation or to inquire further about the specific immigration services that can benefit their needs. The availability of both a primary office phone and a mobile phone number highlights a commitment to client accessibility. When contacting the office, it would be advisable to have a brief overview of your immigration situation or corporate immigration needs prepared. This will help the firm direct your inquiry to the most appropriate legal professional and ensure that your initial discussion is as productive as possible. Given the publicly available feedback regarding this specific location, direct and clear communication at the outset, and explicit inquiries about case management and communication protocols, would be prudent for new clients. The firm’s strategic location in San Francisco’s financial district further ensures that local clients can easily reach them for in-person meetings, fostering a direct relationship for managing critical immigration matters.

For locals in California, particularly within the San Francisco Bay Area, who are involved in employment-based immigration, Fragomen's San Francisco office presents a complex consideration. On one hand, as part of a globally recognized firm, it offers the potential benefits of vast resources, global insights into immigration trends, and advanced technological platforms for managing immigration processes. For large corporations with significant international workforces, the firm's global reach and comprehensive service portfolio can be appealing for managing complex, multi-jurisdictional immigration programs efficiently. This scale and specialization in employment-based immigration are certainly suitable for businesses operating in California's dynamic, globalized economy.

However, it is critically important for local users to also consider the specific feedback from real customers regarding the San Francisco office. The reviews highlight serious concerns about service quality, particularly delays in case processing, perceived lack of care, and poor communication. For individuals whose lives and careers are critically impacted by immigration timelines (e.g., inability to travel, delays in permanent residency), these issues can lead to significant personal and financial hardship. Businesses, too, may find operational efficiency affected by such delays and a lack of responsiveness. Therefore, while the firm's brand and global capabilities suggest suitability for complex immigration needs, prospective clients, whether corporate or individual, should conduct thorough due diligence. It would be prudent for locals to explicitly inquire about client communication protocols, case management transparency, and specific measures in place to address the concerns raised in public reviews. For clients prioritizing a highly responsive and personalized service where timely processing and consistent communication are paramount, these factors should be weighed carefully. Ultimately, Fragomen in San Francisco remains a large player in the corporate immigration space, suitable for those who prioritize a globally networked firm, but prospective clients should engage with full awareness of the documented service challenges.
