The office of Foster & Smith is located in a traditional setting in Jonesboro, reflecting a commitment to serving the local community. The location on South McDonough Street suggests accessibility for local residents and businesses, making it a convenient choice for those seeking nearby legal assistance.
Foster & Smith appears to be a general practice law firm, likely offering services across several legal domains to cater to the diverse needs of their local clientele. Based on the limited information available, including a customer review that mentions a "non-judicial foreclosure sale relating to previously paid HOA dues," it is plausible that real estate law, particularly issues related to property and homeowner associations, is one area of their practice. The positive review indicating "Great attorneys, good people, had a great experience working with them" suggests that the firm also provides satisfactory services in other areas of law, although these are not explicitly detailed.
Given the context of the provided review, it is important to objectively consider the information presented. One review alleges serious misconduct related to a foreclosure sale and HOA dues, involving an attorney named Blake Meadows and an investment company ASBM Investments. This review raises significant concerns and warrants careful consideration for potential clients. It is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence and seek additional information or independent verification if considering engaging Foster & Smith for services related to real estate or HOA matters.
On the other hand, another customer review offers a contrasting positive perspective, describing the attorneys as "great" and the overall experience as "good." This suggests that some clients have had positive interactions and outcomes with the firm. However, without more specific details about the nature of the legal services provided in this positive review, it is challenging to draw definitive conclusions about the firm's strengths and areas of specialization.
Considering the limited and conflicting information available online, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive list of specific services offered by Foster & Smith. However, based on the location in a community setting and the nature of the reviews, it is reasonable to infer that they may handle cases related to:
- Real Estate Law: Including transactions, disputes, foreclosure matters, and issues related to homeowner associations.
- General Civil Litigation: Representing clients in various types of lawsuits and disputes.
- Probate and Estate Administration: Assisting with wills, estates, and the legal processes following a death.
- Family Law: Handling matters such as divorce, child custody, and support.
- Criminal Defense: Representing individuals accused of crimes.
- Business Law: Advising small businesses on formation, contracts, and other legal matters.
These are potential areas of practice for a general practice firm in a local community. However, it is essential to contact Foster & Smith directly to inquire about their specific services and expertise in any particular legal matter.
In terms of features, a local law firm like Foster & Smith often prides itself on:
- Community Focus: A commitment to serving the legal needs of the local residents and businesses.
- Personalized Attention: Offering a more direct and personal relationship with clients compared to larger, more impersonal firms.
- Accessibility: Being conveniently located within the community, making it easier for clients to attend meetings and consultations.
- Local Knowledge: Possessing a better understanding of the local legal landscape, courts, and community dynamics.
Given the serious allegation in one of the reviews, potential clients should exercise caution and consider the following before engaging Foster & Smith:
- Seek Independent Verification: If your legal issue pertains to real estate or HOA matters, try to find additional information or reviews specifically related to these areas and the attorneys involved, particularly Blake Meadows.
- Conduct Due Diligence: Research the professional standing and disciplinary history of the attorneys at the firm through the relevant state bar association.
- Ask Detailed Questions: During an initial consultation, ask specific and detailed questions about the firm's experience with cases similar to yours, their fees, and their approach to handling such matters.
- Seek Second Opinions: It may be prudent to consult with other attorneys in the area to get a second opinion on your legal situation, especially if it involves complex or potentially contentious issues.
As a platform for "Nearby Lawyers," it is our aim to provide objective information to help local users make informed decisions. The limited and conflicting information available for Foster & Smith underscores the importance of individual research and due diligence when selecting legal representation.

This firm attempted to steal my property in an illegal private non-judicial foreclosure sale relating to previously paid HOA dues where Attorney Blake Meadows had HOA sign a foreclosure deed to his investment company ASBM Investments. Im curious to know if anyone else experienced this or similar from this firm or had their property stolen by this firm.
