I highly recommend the law firm of Fine, Olin & Anderman—especially attorney Howard Lipman. Howard is very professional and responsive. He keeps me informed and patiently explains the process of my case very clearly. This helps me to understand what’s going on and makes me feel comfortable. At a recent hearing Howard accomplished everything he requested on my behalf. I am so appreciative to have someone in my corner fighting for me during a time of need. His expertise and personal demeanor make him a fantastic attorney. I am extremely satisfied with the services provided by FOA and especially by my attorney Howard Lipman. Thank you for all of your help so far. I have no doubt that my case is in good hands!

My experience with the attorney that is assigned to my workers comp case has been a total disaster. She is out of Newburgh. This attorney has refused to make phone calls and rectify the workers comp mess ( the appeal got denied to have my right shoulder surgery) and a falsified IME Report. I had to make the phone calls, write the board and force this horrible insurance company to tell me what was going on and why a second IME was scheduled, then cancelled. The excuse was the case is in litigation. I did her job! The outcome is the IME doctor is being investigated! In addition my left arm there is swelling around 2 of the surgery anchors because of the overcompensation and I’m being sent to an IME dr that is a knee surgeon. The right arm My private insurance approved the surgery and now their billing company is involved. I sent them a lovely care package of 3 lbs with the NCA Comp disaster and my medical reports! The attorney quit on September 4th because she wasn’t listening or comprehending to the situations or doing her job! The emails that I have prove it!! Then she was supposed get a new attorney on my case. That didn’t happen as of yet and it probably won’t! Which I do not care because I’m stuck taking care of the mess that SHE IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR! I shouldn’t have had to advocate for my self! She also called my doctor a pompous ass while speaking to me on the phone back in April. If she thought that I wasn’t going to tell him or his office staff. She was sorely mistaken! Then she said she was offended that I made her call him because he was beyond livid with the injury to my right shoulder getting worse. I have never had a more unprofessional and arrogant attorney who insulted my intelligence and injuries!!! It’s absolutely disgusting! Currently , I received a letter from my private insurance company. I filled it out and not only did I submit the letter but the records from workers comp which were an appeal denial a fraudulent IME from two years ago, a cancelled IME, and an IME that they had me seeing a knee surgeon for my shoulder( I wound up not going because I cancelled it because I had to work and we were short staffed) Nobody called me back from Genex to reschedule! But I have decided that I have nothing to prove especially when the workers comp insurance caused my right shoulder to become worse and caused an overcompensation injury. In addition, the hippa forms that I signed for my orthopedic dr that did the surgery on my left shoulder in 2021 were voided! So if I went to the IME, that drs wouldn’t have had my records to begin with! My private insurance company also had 65 pages of my medical records for my right arm and the left overcompensation records and the surgical report! Furthermore, not only did my private insurance company say that workers comp insurance is responsible but so did the anesthesia billing company! Now I have to wait 30 days if not longer to see what they decided because I submitted over 100 pages with post it’s explaining the mess! Update: My medical records were obtained through a voided HIPPA Release that was voided on September 16th after the attorney quit the case! The hospital received that Hippa release on October 2nd. It was obtained by the other attorneys on October 22nd! The hospital already knows and so does the Workers Com Board. Denied that the Hippa release was voided ( I have the email) and she also never notified the board that she was no longer the attorney. I told the board it’s not my problem that she didn’t notify anyone! The incompetence is astounding and now I’m stuck fixing everything she screwed up on! If I could give negative stars I would!

I’m very frustrated with my attorney. She a sell out to the defendant. I was beaten so badly in an exam were my face was swollen unrecognizable, in & out of consciousness, spent 3 months going to rehab to learn how to speak, suffering from PTSD, post concussion syndrome, tinnitus & facial pain. My attorney seems somewhat wanting to sellout my case for $25,000 settlement with the defendant Selective Insurance.

This firm helped me to get my disability Approved. They are compassionate and understanding. Anyone who has had to go through the appeal process knows that it can be stressful and a lot of exams and paperwork over and over again. Nilsa was so understanding and many days calmed my anxiety with her calmness and understanding. They work hard on your behalf, but do so while treating you with humanity, compassion and understanding!

Welcome to the Nearby Lawyers platform, your resource for connecting with legal professionals in your local area. Today, we focus on Fine Olin & Anderman LLP, a law firm located at 1 N Broadway Suite 900, White Plains, NY 10601, USA. Situated in a prominent building in White Plains, the firm appears to offer legal services to individuals in Westchester County and potentially beyond. The availability of a toll-free number, (800) 522-9001, and a local equivalent, +1 800-522-9001, suggests that the firm is accessible to a wide range of clients.
While specific details about the interior environment of Suite 900 at 1 North Broadway are not available online, it is typical for a law firm in a professional building to maintain a well-appointed and confidential setting for client consultations and legal proceedings. The location in White Plains, a major city in Westchester County, indicates that Fine Olin & Anderman LLP is likely part of a vibrant legal community, offering services to a diverse clientele.
The available customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on the services provided by Fine Olin & Anderman LLP. One review provides a glowing recommendation for the firm, specifically highlighting attorney Howard Lipman. The client describes Howard as "very professional and responsive," emphasizing his proactive communication and his ability to clearly explain the complexities of their case. This client felt well-informed and comfortable throughout the legal process. The review also notes Howard's effectiveness in achieving the client's objectives at a recent hearing and expresses deep appreciation for his advocacy during a challenging time. The client praises Howard's expertise, personal demeanor, and expresses extreme satisfaction with the services received from both Howard Lipman and the firm as a whole, stating confidence in the handling of their case.
However, another, considerably more detailed review presents a starkly contrasting experience with a different attorney within the same firm, who was based in Newburgh and handled a workers' compensation case. This client's experience was overwhelmingly negative, describing the assigned attorney as a "total disaster." The review details allegations of the attorney's refusal to make necessary phone calls to rectify issues with the workers' compensation claim, including a denied appeal for shoulder surgery and a "falsified IME Report." The client claims to have taken on the responsibility of communicating with the insurance company and the Workers' Compensation Board, essentially doing the attorney's job. The outcome of this self-advocacy was an investigation into the IME doctor.
The negative review further elaborates on the complexities of the client's medical situation, including issues with a left arm surgery and the scheduling of an IME with a knee surgeon for a shoulder injury. The client also details extensive communication with their private insurance company regarding the responsibility for medical bills related to the workers' compensation claim. A significant point in this review is the allegation that the assigned attorney quit the case on September 4th due to a lack of understanding or engagement with the situation. The client claims to possess emails supporting this. Furthermore, the client alleges that a promised new attorney was not assigned, leaving the client to manage the fallout from the previous attorney's actions. The reviewer expresses extreme dissatisfaction, using strong language to describe the attorney's alleged unprofessionalism, arrogance, and incompetence, even claiming the attorney insulted their doctor. The review concludes with further allegations regarding a voided HIPPA release used to obtain medical records after the attorney's departure and a failure to notify the Workers' Compensation Board of the change in representation, leaving the client to rectify these issues.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to provide a singular characterization of Fine Olin & Anderman LLP. The positive review highlights the professionalism and effectiveness of attorney Howard Lipman, particularly in clearly communicating with clients and achieving favorable outcomes. This suggests that the firm has competent and dedicated legal professionals within its ranks.
However, the detailed negative review raises serious concerns about the handling of at least one workers' compensation case by another attorney in the firm. The allegations include a lack of communication, failure to take necessary actions, unprofessional conduct, and administrative errors that negatively impacted the client. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality of service or case management within the firm, or perhaps an isolated negative experience.
Based on this information, local users considering Fine Olin & Anderman LLP should be aware of these differing experiences. If your legal needs align with the positive experience described with attorney Howard Lipman, particularly if it involves a similar area of law (though not specified in the review), he may be a valuable resource. His responsiveness, clear communication, and effectiveness are highlighted as key features.
However, the negative review serves as a cautionary tale, particularly for individuals with workers' compensation cases potentially handled by attorneys other than Howard Lipman within the firm. It underscores the importance of thorough communication, proactive case management, and professional conduct from legal representatives.
Given the lack of specific information about the firm's practice areas beyond the mention of a workers' compensation case, local users should directly inquire about the firm's expertise in their specific legal needs. When contacting Fine Olin & Anderman LLP at (800) 522-9001 or +1 800-522-9001, it would be prudent to ask about the attorneys who specialize in the relevant area of law and, if possible, to seek references or further information about their track record and client satisfaction.
In conclusion, Fine Olin & Anderman LLP in White Plains, NY, appears to be a law firm with at least one highly recommended attorney, Howard Lipman, who is praised for his professionalism, communication skills, and effectiveness. However, the firm has also received a very negative review detailing significant issues with the handling of a workers' compensation case by another attorney. Therefore, local users considering this firm should conduct thorough due diligence, inquire specifically about the attorney who would be handling their case, and seek assurances regarding communication, diligence, and professional conduct. No specific promotional information is available online. Potential clients should focus on clearly outlining their legal needs and assessing the firm's capacity to meet those needs based on direct communication and, if possible, further references.
