Reviews

  • We have used Frank countless times over the years and continue to seek his counsel. He has represented us on several matters and is always willing to answer any questions.
  • First, Frank is a very personable person. I enjoyed my conversation with him and he may be an outstanding tax attorney. I hired him to write an appeal and represent me for a protective order case after I had represented myself in the original hearing and lost. The reason I represented myself was I could prove the other person was lying in their original petition. In the appeal, Frank would not include exculpatory documents that were presented in first hearing. This hearing was not transcribed. We appealed based on there was no mention of fear in the original petition so I could not prepare a defense since it was never asserted prior to the hearing. We lost. I did bring that up at trial but the lies of my opponent and her lawyer convinced the judge even though all documentation showed they were lying. We went to a second hearing for an extension that we lost. Frank did not know how to properly introduced texts and had to be prompted by the court to say the proper phrases to introduce the evidence. That may have been a brain fart but Frank didn't realize that you have to arrange for a court stenographer yourself in Magistrate court. I had to arrange for both court stenographers in the first hearing and a second later hearing. Frank did not introduce exculpatory evidence I had asked him to consisting of two emails that proved the lies in the first hearing. Frank did bring up in court that I had complied with all of the restrictions in the year long protective order and what a burdon it was being an international pilot. (I lost my global entry causing long delays reentering the country.) After losing the extension hearing, I filed a second appeal based on an impossible timeline stated in the extension hearing. I didn't think this tact would work and it didn't. I found out later, we could have filed a motion based on false evidence to dismiss the entire case but we didn't. We also didn't bring up in the appeal that I had fully complied to the order for a year and 9 months and there was no reason for an extension. After another year of full compliance, I was brought back for a permanent extension of the protective order. Prior to this hearing Frank and I did extensive consultations and made big white boards with timelines documented with supporting texts and emails. We had a different judge at this hearing. After they presented their evidence Frank moved for a dismissal based on there was full compliance to the order and no reason why the 12 month order should have ever been extended. The judge agreed and did not grant the extension. It was obvious that Frank had done more research and cited cases to sway the judge. So why the two star rating after the case was dismissed? Frank may be a great tax attorney but in court, he was not the fighter I was looking for. I had spent $60K+ and felt it had been wasted. If I am going to lose, and you don't introduce evidence that clears me at trial and in the appeals like I ask, I will blame the attorney. Frank also would not file or argue a motion I had introduced with all of the evidence that showed the opposing attorney lied to the court and falsified evidence. He did not fight for me in court and I want a fighter for the hearing and for the appeal. The opposing counsel was a liar and a shark. When this happens, you need someone who will call them out to the court and that wasn't Frank. He may be a great tax attorney but I was very disappointed. I would still have a beer with him because I think he is a good guy, but he was out of his element with my case and it showed.
  • If you’re looking for a top notch tax and business attorney, Frank is one of the best. He takes on cases both small and big, is communicative (very important quality in a lawyer), and he cares about case outcomes. I’ll continue working with Frank for years to come.
  • I have worked with Frank on several matters. He is intelligent and professional. Frank’s talent, diligence, and experience have produced excellent results for his clients. I highly recommend Frank and would not hesitate to work with him in the future.
  • Frank is an outstanding litigator who truly cares about his clients. He works tirelessly for them and gets excellent results. I recommend him highly.

About FGP Law, LLC

Welcome to the profile of FGP Law, LLC, a legal practice located at 555 Sun Valley Dr N-3, Roswell, GA 30076, USA. As a listing in the 'Nearby Lawyers' category, FGP Law, LLC, serves the legal needs of the Roswell community and surrounding areas. They can be reached at (678) 677-5143 or via mobile at +1 678-677-5143. Based on the available customer reviews, FGP Law, LLC, particularly through attorney Frank, appears to have a strong reputation in tax law and is noted for a personable demeanor. However, experiences in other areas, such as protective order cases and litigation, have yielded mixed results, with one detailed review expressing significant disappointment.

The environment at FGP Law, LLC, as suggested by the client feedback, presents a mixed picture. On one hand, attorney Frank is described as a "very personable person," indicating a friendly and approachable atmosphere for initial consultations and client interactions. The willingness to "always answer any questions" also suggests a client-oriented approach where communication is valued. However, the detailed account of a protective order case paints a different picture, potentially indicating challenges in certain litigation settings. This suggests that while the firm may offer a welcoming and communicative environment, the experience and effectiveness may vary depending on the specific area of law and the complexity of the case.

Based on the provided customer reviews, the services offered by FGP Law, LLC, appear to include:

  • Tax Law: One reviewer explicitly states that Frank "may be an outstanding tax attorney," indicating a potential strength and specialization in tax-related legal matters. This could include tax planning, compliance, and representation in tax disputes.
  • Protective Order Cases: The firm has represented clients in protective order cases, including appeals and extension hearings. However, the detailed review highlights significant concerns regarding the handling of such cases, particularly in court proceedings and the introduction of evidence.
  • Appeals: FGP Law, LLC, has handled legal appeals, although the success in these endeavors, at least in the case reviewed, was limited, and the client expressed dissatisfaction with the strategies employed.
  • General Legal Counsel: The initial review mentions using Frank's "counsel" on several matters and his willingness to answer questions, suggesting he provides broader legal advice beyond specific litigation.

Several features of FGP Law, LLC, can be identified from the client feedback, presenting both potential strengths and areas of concern:

  • Personable Attorney: Frank is described as "very personable," which can be a significant advantage in building client relationships and fostering trust during initial interactions.
  • Willingness to Answer Questions: This indicates a communicative approach and a willingness to engage with clients and address their concerns.
  • Potential Strength in Tax Law: The positive comment regarding Frank's potential as an outstanding tax attorney suggests a possible specialization and high level of expertise in this area.
  • Mixed Results in Litigation: The detailed review of the protective order case raises concerns about the firm's effectiveness in certain litigation settings, particularly regarding trial strategy, introduction of evidence, and understanding of court procedures in specific jurisdictions like Magistrate court.
  • Client Dissatisfaction in Certain Cases: The detailed reviewer expressed significant disappointment with the handling of their protective order case and the appeals process, particularly concerning the failure to introduce exculpatory evidence and perceived strategic missteps.
  • Persistence: The firm did ultimately achieve a dismissal in the permanent extension hearing after extensive consultations and preparation, indicating a capacity for improvement and eventual success, although this came after significant time and expense for the client.

The promotional information discernible from the reviews is somewhat contradictory. The positive comments about Frank's personable nature and potential tax law expertise could attract clients seeking those qualities or services. The long-term client who has used Frank "countless times" for various matters also serves as a positive endorsement of his general counsel and reliability over time. However, the detailed negative review regarding the handling of the protective order case and appeals raises significant red flags for potential clients facing similar legal issues or requiring strong courtroom advocacy.

The fact that Frank was ultimately successful in achieving a dismissal in the permanent extension hearing, after a change in judicial officer and more intensive preparation, could be seen as a positive development, showcasing the firm's ability to learn and adapt. However, the preceding experiences of the same client highlight potential inconsistencies or limitations in their approach to litigation, particularly in earlier stages and with different judges.

For local users in Roswell, Georgia, considering FGP Law, LLC, it is crucial to weigh the positive feedback regarding Frank's personable demeanor and potential tax law expertise against the serious concerns raised about the handling of the protective order case and appeals. If your legal needs primarily involve tax law, the positive comment suggests that FGP Law, LLC, might be a strong contender. However, if you require robust representation in contentious litigation, particularly in areas outside of tax law, the detailed negative review warrants careful consideration and potentially seeking additional references or consultations with other firms.

The contrasting experiences shared by reviewers indicate that the effectiveness of FGP Law, LLC, may be highly dependent on the specific area of law and the individual circumstances of the case. While Frank may be a "good guy" and potentially an "outstanding tax attorney," the detailed account serves as a cautionary tale for those needing a "fighter" in court, particularly against determined opposing counsel.

In conclusion, FGP Law, LLC, located in Roswell, GA, presents a mixed profile based on the available online reviews. While attorney Frank is described as personable and potentially highly skilled in tax law, a detailed account of a protective order case reveals significant shortcomings in litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy, leading to client dissatisfaction despite an eventual positive outcome in a later hearing. Local users considering FGP Law, LLC, should carefully consider their specific legal needs and weigh the positive and negative feedback before making a decision.
