• Jon Erickson is an outstanding civil and defense attorney. He is a great man, understanding, professional and caring human being. Throughout the entire time of fighting my case he has been there every step of the way. Even while being held hostage by the cook county sheriff and being treated as less than a human being, he continued to fight for me and after/while losing family and loved ones to their transition & through it all the sheriffs office caused me to miss the death and ceremonies of my father, one of my best friends and nearly my uncle (to whom me and him were the last ones left from our original bloodline and house hold in which case we watched our entire family of 10+ die in various ways). Understanding that I have been forced to warrior through a traumatizing life experience, Jon along with the honorable judge Hood showed utter compassion and complete understanding allowing me to be able to make my uncles final arrangements and visit my loved ones graves in another state while on Em. I was allowed to finally purchase my mother’s headstone as well, which was well over due seeing as how she transitioned nearly 30 years ago. But I was here fighting for my life the entire time since her demise in various seemingly never ending ways, trying in every way to get it right. I did everything I was suppose to do, did not mess up nor make anyone look bad as they especially Jon put it on the line for me. I am grateful. He has gotten me out of or spared me and many others from a many of adverse, disparaging situations. Now he is a busy man as are all of the great ones are. However, he goes out of his way to communicate, research, fight for you tooth and nail in literally any and every way as to yield one the best results possible no matter your color, creed, religion or background as he knows the struggles of the minority even the some of those that come from chaos and try in every way possible to be stand up and righteous. Even if you are down he will take the time out of his busy schedule to be personable and provide encouragement as well as much support. I thank God regardless of circumstance for allowing me to meet and be in the presence of such a knowledgeable, well rounded , understanding human being that is ready and willing to fight for you when the city police and state wishes to destroy your life in a place where it means nothing to them especially as a minority. A place where your amendment rights mean absolutely nothing as they won’t protect you from the actual criminals nor will allow you to protect yourself. But that’s ok, cause Jon Erickson will fight for you every step of the way. Thank you and salute to not only a great man but a upstanding individual at the pinnacle of his profession in every way. 🫡💯

• My son is currently a client of Jon Erickson. I met Jon in 2007, he was representing someone on a serious charge. He reminded me of Perry Mason. He dealt with all the fine points and won the case. I followed him out the courtroom and ask him if he would fight for a black person the way he fought for that white person in there and he said yes. So when my son was charged with a few serious charges I called Jon.Today the trial started and Jon was "AMAZING" to say the least. An officer accused my son of hitting him which was not true. Jon picked the officer's story apart, highlighting all the inconsistencies in the officer's story. I was so happy I finally found an attorney who would work for me. When I hired Jon the only thing he promised me was he would work very hard on my son's behalf and so far he has come through. Now tomorrow is the last day of the trial and I hope and pray things work out for my son. I will keep you posted. Well, Jon did it!!!:) He was found not "GULITY" what a blessing. I'm so excited.
• Though Jon Erickson is a great Attorney and a man that stands behind his word. I couldn’t be more satisfied with his representation. But in the beginning it all started with a criminal case. With a civil case to follow. I sat across the table not once but twice from Michael Oppenheimer and he told me this could cost 5 to 10 thousand dollars! But you will get it back in the civil case. Well Mr. Oppenheimer missed the first two court dates, in Kankakee County. This after giving a 3300 dollar retainer. I called very upset he pushes off on Jon and now almost Two Years later. WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE REPRESENTING YOU IN THE CIVIL CASE. Not trustworthy
