I did do my research with this firm and decided that due how severe my case is, I would also be happy with their services. Unfortunately, I didn’t listen to their bad google reviews that stood out to me. Please take the time to consider my review. This law firm took advantage of my extreme situation and ultimately emptied my bank and maxed out my credit cards before letting me go unrepresented after ONE court hearing in 6.5 months. I am completely left alone in a terrible situation, all they did was cover up with kind words and continue to send weekly thousands of dollars in billing. Joshana was the main Associate Attorney on my case. I am a very responsive and competent woman, I did most my paperwork myself within hours of request. Towards the end of services… they didn’t even have the courtesy to make the free check in call that was SCHEDULED, all due to me requesting them to let my case go. This is unjustified and just outright wrong in the justice system. Single moms or Dads, anything with DV and financial troubles DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST in this company to help you. Elise Buie family law made my problems even worse at the end of the day. I received NOTHING but upwards of 70 thousand dollars of debt throughout my current open case.. I completely regret my decision to put all my trust in the company allowing them to make my life more miserable.
I didn't end up moving forward beyond the first consult and was disappointed in my experience. I had to intake like three different times with the same information. The lawyer I was assigned to was late to our scheduled call that I had to follow up with them. During the initial consult the lawyer was not very insightful to the problem at hand (divorce with mental illness), and couldn't answer questions regarding protective orders. The consult is also meant to go over contracts and retaining fee vs the legal advice I thought I was paying for. But of course they are great and extremely timely for follow up for the retaining fees and signing contracts!
I had a pretty straightforward and simple case, but the team made me feel like it was nothing but the most important case ever. They were diligent in their communication and information collection, and everything was done better than I could have asked for, and in a very timely fashion.
I appreciated speaking with Judy over the phone. She was very compassionate and a great listener; she was attuned to my situation and engaged in helping facilitate an optimal outcome.
Expensive and they were more concerned in banking then helping. They kept on arguing with opposing council after I asked them to stop. They were concerned with making money and were completely oblivious to the techniques the opposing council was using to cause me harm. I could say a lot more but in brief do not recommend.
