I retained Doug in 2021. I would like to say that Doug went over and beyond to give me the most professional advice toward my divorce. Divorce is not always a pretty situation but I want to let people know if you need a great attorney I would recommend Him. He has over 45 years experience and is a credited super attorney in the state of California. Doug is worth every dollar. His paralegal/ legal assistant Mia is professional and is worth every dollar as well.

I had known Doug personally for years, so when a friend of my wife and I was having trouble with her deadbeat ex husband, I sent her right over to Doug. She tells me all the time how thankful she is for Doug, and how compassionate and helpful he is. He's also extremely knowledgeable about real estate law as it relates to divorces, knows the right questions to ask, the right issues to pursue, and right things to do to make things right for my friend. Doug is on the verge of finally resolving the issues in her favor and she couldn't be more excited and happy.

0 stars!!! Here is the reader's digest version. I never took the stand. I sat in my chair while Doug was too ill to defend me for 2 and a half months!!! We rescheduled my court date 4 times. The original date was December 26-27 after being shifted to LA from Texas on a small technicality. My daughter and I lived and still live in Texas. Her mother agreed Texas was the best place after $50,000 in attorney fees and no completion to the hearing. I was not heard by the judge. I never took the stand. I traveled in December with my family and daughter. I traveled twice in January with my family and daughter, and finally Feb 3. (thousands on airfare and hotel and rental car) My custody case was moved from Texas to LA (on a small technicality). I had to Travel to LA 4 times. Many times to find out after arriving from Texas that Doug was too ill to proceed. He had some rare infection and refused to admit he was too sick even after having to push back the hearing twice. He still wanted that money. He hired another attorney whom I was told would be comped. She was partially comped. He put a nice little $4,000+ addition to the bill despite his word of it would not be there. The judge ordered a settlement to be completed by February 23rd. I received a rough copy in JUNE 2017, 4 months after it was ordered by the judge (this doesn't seem to be legal does it? but he got away with it). When I was doing my due diligence to follow up on where was my settlement papers were in February, March, April, May, and June I was charged $50 to read it $50 to send an email to the other counsel $50 to read her response that my ex-had not approved the settlement (each time). This happened enough to add a few extra thousand bucks to the bill. The settlement was done when we were in negotiations February 3rd However somehow it needed to be edited still. (not legal). I strongly believe that he was working with the other counsel. I strongly believe he was finding every way to charge me more. (he got all the money that there was but still wants more) My Texas attorney used his assistant as much as he could to complete any work. Doug charged me his full rate for 80% of the time billed. His assistant left about the time everything was done on maternity leave Doug had no replacement for her so he billed me his full rate. He hired someone new a few weeks later after the time frame the judge gave him to complete the settlement. He charged me his full rate of $450 to drive to and from the Courthouse for each court date. Some of which he was too sick to do the work I was paying him to do. He avoided my question of did he go home or to his office like his contract says after he left the courtroom at 5 pm in rush hour traffic in Los Angeles. I paid him over $50,000 and he is still asking for $15,000 more. I did not even take the stand. Doug did not provide a copy of the settlement when the judge ordered it by Feb 23rd. I find it a bit of a coincidence that there are no reviews for him in reputable places. Google Yelp Bing. Most have been scrubbed from the internet. I was referred by a former student's parents and would not recommend Doug to anyone. He was handed a case COMPLETED by my Texas attorney. For a 32-year-old single father who was fighting for the safety of his daughter his only compassion was when he was getting paid. He told me if I could pay him $7,500 more one time he would 'comp' the rest. I believe $50,000 is enough money for a guy who sat there sick and really read the notes given to him by an attorney with compassion from Texas. Are there laws in place for situations like this? I believe this is wrong. I hope I'm not the only one.

I can only say good things about my legal experience with Doug Wolf. His experience and knowledge was apparent after our first meeting. After my prior Attorneys inexperience failed me, Doug was able to protect me from further disaster. I only wish he had represented me from the beginning.
