First I was working with an attorney at this firm. I called one day to speak with her to find out she was no longer at the firm. I wouldn’t have known about the change had I not called. Then today, there is Nothing like having a hearing only to find out the day of, that your counsel has dropped your case 20 days prior but didn't have the respect or professionalism to call or email to let one know. Only found out 2 minutes before my hearing I was no longer being represented. I wouldnt recommend this firm for any reason. Only putting a 1 star because it’s mandatory. I decided to go with Daniels Associates LLP for my Social Security Disability Application. I was linked up with Maria Vazquez and she was fantastic. Not only did she answer all 37 million questions I had, but she also made the process extremely smooth and easy for me to do with my disabilities. I got my SSD benefits on the first go around, which is rare from what I understand, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the staff and her professionalism. That's not even saying how much empathy and care she had for me personally, which made me feel like a human being and not just a number. I can't thank her and this firm enough for what they have done for me. In terms of value, you can't find a better law firm to go with as they don't take money out of the front end for SSD, just some (and not all) of the back pay I received for time spent awaiting a decision. 10/10, would recommend and I truly believe that I found them for a reason. Very rude. Uneducated law firm. 1 star only because 0 isn’t an option. These people are rude and condescending. Don’t waist your time. There is coverage from my insurance and also reembuersement. The assumption that I could not pay for these services was ridiculous. Very unprofessional, shame on you Daniels Associates. This law firm is a joke.
Several years ago I was forced to turn to SS Disability, still very young but unable to continue a grueling work schedule. Had an initial meeting with a paralegal and they took the reins from there. Quite some time passed and received a letter for my hearing date. The attorney and I spoke by phone beforehand and I actually met her in person when I showed up for the hearing. All went smoothly, and she spoke confidently about the expectations and possibilities for the decision process and that I would likely know something within the next several weeks. Sure enough, the legal correspondence arrived by mail notifying me of approval. Several weeks later my check for back-pay arrived from Daniels Associates. While the waiting process can be enough to drive most anyone crazy, patience is KEY, and putting my FULL confidence in my attorney was the right decision. This firm is beyond qualified to handle your case, and my advice is to exercise patience as the entire disability process is pretty slow, but leave it to Daniels Associates and let them do what they do best. Highly recommend!
I wasn’t completely sold on retaining a lawyer for the disability issues I was going thru but I did make the choice to go thru with it. I was a little disappointed in the whole process of speaking with Micah Daniels when she called for a meeting over the phone when the pandemic was just getting started. Maybe she was having a bad day I heard children in the background and she was extremely short with me as I just received a call just before her that my son was in a car accident on the interstate and being transported to U of L trauma hospital by ambulance. I asked to reschedule as Things sometimes happen beyond our control like family or the pandemic that stopped everyone where they were. I was passed on to another kind lady in the office that eventually spoke in the hearing. This Situation was horrible and the amount of money Micah received from me was a little extreme. Disappointed now over a year later I received a letter from IRS I need to pay them and honestly I thought they was taken care of before any money went to her or I. I wish the experience would have been better but I’m disappointed that now I owe the IRS that should have been taken care of before her or I was to be paid. 2 stars is being kind. Horrible situation.
