If I could give Lydia zero stars I would give her zero. I paid Lydia to put my house in trust in June 2024. She cashed my check. I was told that her courier would take it to the courthouse and file it. I would get the filed trust in the mail. Six months later I had nothing. I have left 5 voicemails, 4 emails and mailed a letter to her. No response. I called Dupage County and was told that nothing was ever filed with them. I guess I will have to take her to small claims court for the money.

UPDATE: Quote to fix drainage issues at this property is $24,000. Linda negotiated $2,000 off the property listing price. THANK YOU WADDINGTON LAW FOR PUTTING US IN $22,000 OF DEBT IN ADDITION TO OUR MORTGAGE. This law firm does NOT have your best interest in mind. We recently bought a home with major water issues on the property and when we reached out to our attorney for help, we were very quickly told the issue wasn’t actually that big of deal (thousands of dollars will be spent out of our pocket) and there wouldn’t be much they could do to help us (before we ever even explained the details of the water issues). We have since followed up multiple times looking for ANY kind of response from someone at this office, and haven’t heard a thing. It is evident they are there to “help” until their cut of the check comes through. Do not work with these people unless you’d like to live with buyers remorse and receive ZERO help. We feel completely taken advantage of and don’t want any other homeowners to experience this.

About Croft C. Waddington, P.C.
Within the "Nearby Lawyers" platform category, Croft C. Waddington, P.C. is a law firm located at 1111 Burlington Ave #110, Lisle, IL 60532, USA. When considering any legal service provider, potential clients often seek information about the firm's environment, the services it offers, its operational features, and any promotional aspects. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the publicly available information, including direct client feedback.
Regarding the environment of Croft C. Waddington, P.C., the address suggests a professional office setting within a commercial building in Lisle, Illinois. Typically, law offices in such locations are designed to facilitate client consultations and legal work, offering a space for private discussions. While specific details about the interior design or atmosphere are not available, one would generally expect a standard professional office environment. The location in Lisle positions the firm to serve local residents in the surrounding areas. The professional address implies a typical operational setup for a law firm, designed to handle client intake and legal processing.
Based on the provided client reviews, the services offered by Croft C. Waddington, P.C. appear to include aspects of real estate law and estate planning, specifically the creation of trusts. One client mentioned paying "Lydia to put my house in trust," indicating services related to estate planning and asset management. Another review discusses "bought a home with major water issues on the property" and reaching out to the attorney for "help" with this, suggesting involvement in real estate transactions and post-purchase property disputes. This implies that the firm may provide services related to property purchases, sales, and addressing issues that arise post-transaction, which can include due diligence, contract review, and potential litigation related to property defects. However, the client experiences shared do not detail the successful delivery or satisfactory resolution of these services, which is a crucial aspect of service provision.
When examining the features of Croft C. Waddington, P.C., based on the provided customer reviews, several significant operational characteristics emerge. A prominent concern highlighted by multiple clients is a perceived lack of responsiveness and communication. One client reported leaving "5 voicemails, 4 emails and mailed a letter" without any response regarding an unfiled trust after six months. This suggests a potential issue with client communication and follow-through on promised legal actions. Another review explicitly states that after reaching out for help with property issues, they "haven’t heard a thing" after following up multiple times. This consistent feedback points to a pattern where clients experience difficulty in receiving timely updates or any communication at all, which is a critical feature for any legal service, especially given the sensitive nature of legal matters.
Furthermore, the reviews raise questions about the firm's client advocacy and commitment to clients' best interests after initial payment. One client states, "This law firm does NOT have your best interest in mind," and felt "completely taken advantage of." This perception stems from situations where the firm allegedly downplayed significant issues, such as major property defects, and offered minimal assistance or compensation. The explicit mention of "Waddington Law for putting us in $22,000 of debt in addition to our mortgage" after a mere "$2,000 off the property listing price" for a $24,000 drainage issue, directly challenges the firm's effectiveness in protecting client interests during real estate transactions. Another client's experience of a trust not being filed with the county courthouse after payment and months of waiting, compounded by a complete lack of communication, points to potential issues with administrative diligence and accountability. The phrase "It is evident they are there to 'help' until their cut of the check comes through" captures a strong sentiment of disillusionment regarding the firm's post-payment commitment to their cases. These features, as reported by customers, are crucial for potential clients to consider when evaluating legal representation.
In terms of promotional information, the provided phone number (630) 969-8181 and mobile phone number +1 630-969-8181 serve as direct contact points for the firm. However, the available client reviews do not offer typical positive promotional material. Instead, they serve as critical feedback. While a firm's address and contact information are standard promotional elements, the most impactful "promotional" aspect from the client reviews is cautionary advice. For instance, statements like "Do not work with these people unless you’d like to live with buyers remorse and receive ZERO help" and the desire to "not want any other homeowners to experience this" act as a strong deterrent rather than an encouragement. The intent behind a "Nearby Lawyers" platform is to help users find suitable legal representation, and an objective introduction must include all available information, including critical feedback, to allow potential clients to make informed decisions. There is no positive promotional content available from the provided customer reviews to highlight here. Instead, the focus is on the experiences reported by individuals who have engaged with the firm's services, which should be carefully considered by anyone looking for legal assistance in Lisle, IL.
