My ex has unfortunately been exploited by Deborah Gregory to the tune of $40,000 and has traumatized my kids with two and a half years of litigation in an attempt to manufacture a case to try and justify years worth of contempt and visitation interference. Imagine the feeling of blowing that kind of money only to have a judge say ‘you don’t have a case’ and ‘dad filed a petition a long time ago to clean this mess up’ in open court. Gregory even filed a false ‘emergency’ to suspend visitation in my case, and her own client even testified that my kid ‘was fine with visitation’ In effect, all Ms. Gregory has actually done is drag my children through years of nonsense only to come up short by insisting on trial again and again.

DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM! The communication between myself and Nicole Saia was terrible. She would not respond in a timely manner at all. Upon the second divorce trial she pawned me off on her partner Deborah Gregory and at trial Deborah suggested settling "to be done with him". Upon agreeing to settlement she was on the phone eager to get to her next appointment. I lost on all levels. They should have at least fought to get my attorney fees paid by my ex but didn't even try or suggest that. They charged a huge amount to prepare for trial and then recommended settling.. Then came the bill - WOW. My ex-husband had a redneck attorney from Tarrant that cleaned the floor with the Crittenden firm. Ridiculous!

I retained an attorney from this firm for a child custody dispute. This is my experience and the lessons I learned the hard way with dealing with this firm and its attorneys. First, the communication with my attorney was disastrous. There were times that I needed assistance promptly after I had to file a domestic violence report, where I did not have a way to contact her other than an email and office number. When I did reach out it took over a week to hear back. That would become the norm throughout my experience. Second, I did not feel I was being advocated for. Many of my requests and concerns were not answered or addressed. When she would attempt to it was done so reluctantly. Third, they will charge you for everything. I understand they have to make their money and it's not free. However, charging to organize your file and $44 to process your payment after they have given you the worst service and failed to advocate for you is absurd. Continuing with payments, I asked for a final invoice and it took weeks for a response and multiple emails. When I got an invoice they said the following week I was late. After it was paid that week I received two more invoices. When you need an attorney you need one on your side and working for you. Not one that is trying to take advantage of you or failing to be your support and legal advocate.

The firm can be contacted by phone at (205) 874-8680, and a mobile phone number is also listed as +1 205-874-8680. These contact details provide local users with the means to reach out to the firm for inquiries or consultations. However, the reviews themselves touch upon the communication aspect with the firm, which will be addressed later in this introduction.
The two customer reviews provided offer critical perspectives on the services and client experiences at Crittenden Partners, particularly in the context of family law matters, specifically divorce and child-related litigation. One review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the services of attorney Deborah Gregory. The reviewer alleges that Ms. Gregory exploited their ex-partner, leading to significant financial loss and emotional distress for the children involved over an extended period of litigation. The reviewer claims that Ms. Gregory manufactured a case, repeatedly insisted on trial despite a judge indicating a lack of merit, and even filed a false emergency motion regarding visitation. This review strongly advises against hiring the firm based on this negative experience with Ms. Gregory.
The second review details a negative experience with both Nicole Saia and Deborah Gregory. The reviewer states that the communication with Nicole Saia was "terrible," characterized by a lack of timely responses. Upon the second divorce trial, the reviewer was transferred to Deborah Gregory. The reviewer claims that Ms. Gregory suggested settling the case "to be done with him" and appeared eager to conclude the matter quickly after an agreement was reached. The reviewer expresses feeling that their attorney fees should have been pursued from their ex-partner but were not even suggested. Furthermore, the reviewer criticizes the firm for charging a "huge amount" for trial preparation and then recommending settlement. Ultimately, this reviewer felt they "lost on all levels" and contrasts the Crittenden firm unfavorably with their ex-husband's attorney.
Based solely on these two reviews, the services offered by Crittenden Partners, at least in the realm of family law as experienced by these reviewers, appear to include representation in divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, and related litigation. However, the experiences described raise significant concerns about the effectiveness, communication, and cost-effectiveness of these services, according to these specific clients.
In terms of features, again drawing only from the reviews, some aspects of the firm's operation can be inferred, albeit negatively. One feature appears to be the involvement of multiple attorneys within the same case (Nicole Saia and Deborah Gregory). However, at least in one instance, this transition was perceived negatively by the client. Another feature seems to be a willingness to pursue litigation, including trials, but the outcomes, according to the reviews, were unfavorable for the clients. The reviews also suggest a focus on settling cases, although one reviewer felt this was recommended after significant trial preparation costs were incurred. Poor communication and a lack of proactive advocacy for the client's financial interests (specifically regarding attorney fees) are also highlighted as negative features.
Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not contain any positive statements that could be construed as promotional. In fact, both reviews serve as strong warnings against hiring the firm, particularly Deborah Gregory. Therefore, based on this information, there is no positive promotional content to report. Instead, the reviews highlight significant issues with client service, communication, and the perceived effectiveness of the legal representation provided in these specific family law cases.
For local users in Birmingham, Alabama, considering Crittenden Partners based on their listing in the Nearby Lawyers platform, it is crucial to carefully consider the experiences shared in these customer reviews. The feedback is overwhelmingly negative, citing issues such as poor communication, questionable litigation strategies, significant costs without perceived positive outcomes, and a lack of advocacy for the client's financial interests. While these reviews represent only two individual experiences, they raise serious concerns that potential clients should be aware of and consider as part of their decision-making process when selecting legal counsel.
Given the strongly negative nature of the available feedback, local users may want to exercise significant caution and potentially seek additional information or consider other legal options in the Birmingham area before engaging Crittenden Partners. It would be prudent to seek consultations with multiple attorneys to compare their approaches, fees, and client testimonials. While every legal case is unique, and past results do not guarantee future outcomes, the issues raised in these reviews regarding communication, strategy, and client satisfaction are important factors to consider when choosing legal representation.
In conclusion, Crittenden Partners is a law firm located in Birmingham, Alabama, at 1 Independence Plaza #305. Based on the two provided customer reviews, both experiences were significantly negative, citing issues with attorney conduct (specifically Deborah Gregory), communication (with Nicole Saia), litigation strategy, and client outcomes in family law cases. There is no positive feedback or promotional information to report based on these reviews. Local users are strongly advised to carefully consider these experiences and conduct thorough due diligence before deciding to engage Crittenden Partners for their legal needs.
