  • DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I used this company for my divorce. It cost me over $30k. They would answer any and every email to be sure to charge you. When it came time to actually fight for what I needed to survive, they did not help. I did not get alimony, my attorney had 10 days to appeal the judges ruling and did not. She knew my ex got a new job and did nothing, but let me know of my upcoming bill. She got me the bare minimum in child support, when again, she should’ve appealed it and didn’t. She lost to my construction ex, who had no legal expertise. I am now filing a motion to get child support modified, 3 years later, on my own time with a free legal aid. So, bottom line, don’t use this company. It has taken me 3 years to write this review because I am still trying to recover financially to how bad this business hurt me. I believed every work I was told, I now have very little faith in the legal system.
  • I hired the Cordell law firm for my divorce case and they charged me $45125 within 6 months and haven’t gotten any result! Find another law firm who is more honest and they have some integrity.
  • I highly recommend Alexandria Mederos. Divorce is a horrible matter. I knew during my free consultation with Alexandria, she would be the right one to help me navigate through this process. She helped me stay focused when the emotions where high. Her attention to detail was remarkable, and she was never apprehensive or panic-stricken. Again, divorce is horrible and you need someone strong like Alexandria to represent you.
  • My experience with Cordell wasn’t good at all. Mrs Alexandria who was representing me not doing her job my Ex was having in affairs I have all the proves gave them to my lawyer she said Florida law man can have many women they want. All. She was promised to do when a gave her the case At the end I come out with nothing. My Ex made 300k and I made 50k she make me pay for everything. I ended up paying him money. Thad is very sad Please be very careful with her if she’s representing you
  • Alexandria Mederos really took my wishes/priorities into consideration while still advising me on the different options available throughout the divorce process. Divorce is not an easy/fun experience, but she kept an upbeat, professional attitude and worked very efficiently to ensure the process did not get dragged out longer than necessary. I would recommend her to anyone getting divorced!

Based on the firm's name, "Cordell & Cordell - Divorce Attorney Office," and the provided client reviews, the primary service offered by this firm is legal representation in divorce cases. As a firm specifically branded for divorce, their services would typically encompass a comprehensive range of family law matters related to the dissolution of marriage. These services likely include:

  • Divorce Proceedings: Representing clients through all stages of the divorce process, from initial filing to final decree. This includes contested and uncontested divorces.
  • Child Support: Assisting clients in establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support orders, as referenced in the client review regarding obtaining child support.
  • Child Custody and Visitation: Guiding clients through the complexities of parenting plans, decision-making authority, and visitation schedules to determine arrangements for children post-divorce.
  • Alimony/Spousal Support: Advising and advocating for clients regarding spousal maintenance, as referenced by the client review about not receiving alimony. This involves assessing eligibility, duration, and amount.
  • Division of Marital Assets and Debts: Helping clients navigate the equitable distribution of property and liabilities acquired during the marriage, which can include real estate, investments, retirement accounts, and debts.
  • Litigation in Divorce Cases: As implied by client experiences involving courtroom proceedings and appeals, the firm undertakes litigation when amicable settlements are not possible, preparing cases for trial and presenting arguments before a judge.
  • Post-Divorce Modifications: While one client mentioned filing a child support modification on their own, the firm's focus on divorce suggests they would generally handle modifications to existing orders (e.g., child support, alimony, custody) if circumstances change significantly post-divorce.

Potential clients are always encouraged to contact the office directly to discuss their specific divorce or family law needs and confirm how the firm's services align with their individual case.

Based on the provided customer reviews, which present a highly critical perspective, it is challenging to list "features and highlights" in a promotional sense. However, to provide a factual overview as requested, we can identify reported client experiences, both positive and negative, which can serve as "features" in terms of how the firm operates or is perceived:

  • High Costs Associated with Representation: A recurring theme in both reviews is the significant financial cost, with one client mentioning "over $30k" and another "charged me $45125 within 6 months." This suggests that engaging Cordell & Cordell can be a substantial financial investment.
  • Billing Practices Related to Communication: One review specifically notes, "They would answer any and every email to be sure to charge you." This indicates a billing practice where communication, including emails, is a billable activity, which clients should be aware of.
  • Perceived Lack of Advocacy in Crucial Moments: A client expressed feeling that the firm "did not help" when it "came time to actually fight for what I needed to survive," and cited instances where documents were allegedly not submitted and appeals not filed, potentially impacting the case outcome. This suggests a perceived gap between expectation of aggressive representation and actual delivery for some clients.
  • Client Dissatisfaction with Outcomes: Both reviews express dissatisfaction with the results achieved, with one client stating they received "the bare minimum in child support" and did not get alimony, and another indicating "haven't gotten any result!" This highlights significant client disappointment regarding case outcomes and the value received for the fees paid.
  • Impact on Client Well-being: One review describes severe financial and emotional distress, stating it took "3 years to write this review because I am still trying to recover financially to how bad this business hurt me," and a loss of faith in the legal system. This reflects a profound negative impact on the client's post-divorce life.

It's important to note that these are specific client experiences and do not represent every outcome or client's view, but they are the only "highlights" provided in the given data.

Based on the provided information, there are no specific "promotions or special offers" advertised by Cordell & Cordell - Divorce Attorney Office. Law firms, particularly those specializing in family law and litigation, generally do not offer discounts or promotional pricing in the way a retail business might. Their services are typically billed based on hourly rates for attorneys and paralegals, or sometimes flat fees for specific, defined services. The client reviews strongly indicate that the firm operates on a fee structure that led to significant costs for the individuals involved. One client mentioned being informed of an "upcoming bill," suggesting a standard billing cycle where clients are charged for services rendered, including communication and legal work. Therefore, potential clients should anticipate standard legal fees for divorce representation, which can accumulate depending on the complexity and duration of the case. It is always advisable for prospective clients to have a thorough discussion about fee structures, retainers, and billing practices with the firm before engaging their services to ensure full transparency and avoid unexpected costs.
