I left an earlier review of a prior BK attorney I dealt with (if you would like to read it.) I don’t know about you, but I don’t deal with many lawyers. I find the whole process very tedious and intimidating just talking to them. Some lawyers have been transparent and honest while others have been curt and I would say semantically accurate, but not really upfront with you. Carol and Robert are definitely the former. They are the epitome of transparency. I was worried after my last BK got dismissed and so I spoke to like 3 attorneys before I found them. Here’s what I liked most about them: 1) Carol is meticulous in her paperwork’s and is honest with you if what you’re thinking about will work or not. She also doesn’t try to file your paperwork unless she’s confident she has everything she needs. She’s also very responsive. She told me everything to expect - good and bad - and that lowered a lot of my anxiety. 2) Rob represented me in court (they’re married). You can tell he’s handled a lot of cases. He spoke to me before my meeting of creditors and walked me through what to expect and he even requested if we could get moved up on the schedule because I had a terrible flu that day. He also showed up during my case to continue my stay since my prior case was dismissed less than a year before I re-filed. It was pretty much a waiting game. While we waited, we chatted a bit and he really relaxed me. 3) They have continued to support me even after my case was confirmed! I still ask them questions and Carol/Rob are very timely in their responses. After my 1st BK was dismissed, I was devastated and ashamed quite frankly. I didn’t have high hopes that I could get help. Rob & Carol Colliersmith provided honest, realistic & pragmatic counsel to make an informed decision. And I feel that w/o them, I wouldn’t have been able to save my home.
