Engaging this firm has been the worst business decision I've ever made. No deliverables for over a year after countless promises to make deadlines. Incompetence and fraud in its purest form! Run far far away!! Update Feb 5, 2025: Still nothing from Ryan Cann. No deliverables, no contact. He says and does nothing. On the bright side, I've finally found trustworthy and competent lawyers and the NV bar is on it now. I can't believe I was so stupid to trust this guy!
This guy took my son's money said he file the patent and never got back to us, we called the patent office they said he abandoned the filing, we had never gotten back to us after several attempts to call him. Patent office said they have an investigation into this guy for that very same reason! We lost thousands of $$$ to this man!
This guy botched a simple trademark application. He didn’t file for months, dodged my calls, avoided me, and never followed up with completion paperwork. USPTO has reached out with an abandonment notice now. I wouldn’t trust this guy with anything, big or small. Stay away
Unreliable and untrustworthy, I paid the initial deposit on a provisional patent and was told it should be done in "10 days", and that was 31 days ago. Contact is sparse, If you don't have a prior appointment, don't expect to find him at this office in reno. Phone calls always go to voicemail (as he is never at his office for the receptionist to be of any help) and emails get replies eventually but definitely not punctual. I was as lenient as I could be for all the "interruptions" and "it will be done tomorrow"s I received over the course of the month I was waiting, but patent applications are very time sensitive. And not even knowing roughly when the application will be filed causes the issues that I couldn't schedule appointments with companies to pitch this product to because I had no idea when I would have that legal protection the provisional provides, as well as the countless hours and $$ spent in that original "10 days" getting the website and all the finishing details to the marketing materials done which has now been sitting on my desk untouched for weeks.
Ryan and his staff were better than I could have hoped for. Not only did they help me get a patent for my invention, they worked with me along the way as I am just a student. Thank you guys!!
