My ex-wife hired Pepi as her second divorce attorney, after cycling through someone else. Pepi took a very simple divorce, that I intended to manage pro se, and dragged it out for an additional year. I warned my ex-wife not to fall into a trap of being someone else's billable, but Pepi played into emotions and encouraged her to press on into dead ends. When my wife and I would make fair and reasonable agreements, Pepi would intervene and convince my ex that she is making a mistake and could get more. She would continue proposing unreasonable settlements with numbers pulled out of thin air and asset values that did not exist. The most alarming part of this woman is that she has absolutely no regard for the best interests of children and families that are going through this difficult process. Pepi is one of many attorneys that is out to self-serve in what could be a very simple process. Several divorce attorneys I conferred with, and two county judges, knew of her and warned of the tactics she would attempt to endlessly drag out the case. If you are looking for someone who will tie up a case as long as possible while billing countless hours and costing you tens of thousands of dollars in the process, then I think this would be a good fit. But if you seek swift resolution, then look somewhere else.
