Burrell Counsel, LLC Introduce
For individuals in Largo, Maryland, and the surrounding areas seeking legal counsel for criminal defense, particularly in situations involving allegations of police misconduct, Burrell Counsel, LLC, located at 9701 Apollo Dr #301, Largo, MD 20774, USA, offers legal services. Reachable at (301) 684-8261 or +1 301-684-8261, Burrell Counsel, LLC operates within the "Nearby Lawyers" category. Based on available online reviews, the firm presents a complex picture of client experiences, with one client highlighting a significant success in a criminal matter involving alleged police misconduct, while others express dissatisfaction with the firm's responsiveness in a potential civil rights case.
One detailed testimonial recounts a highly positive outcome for a client who was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor based on what they described as "very weak evidence." According to this review, Brandon Burrell of Burrell Counsel, LLC, worked diligently to secure an acquittal for the client, despite what the client characterized as concerted efforts by the police, FBI, and prosecutors to obtain a conviction. The client emphasized that Mr. Burrell did not agree to any plea agreement, even though it was the client's first arrest and first time facing such charges. The acquittal was achieved after a trial, despite what the client described as numerous attempts to settle the matter amicably. This client strongly recommends Brandon Burrell, particularly for individuals facing similar issues, especially those related to alleged police misconduct.
The same client further detailed a subsequent incident that occurred the week before the trial, where they claim to have been a victim of further police misconduct while police investigated false accusations by a neighbor, an event they captured on body camera footage. The client explicitly stated their belief that without Mr. Burrell's representation and the body camera footage documenting the alleged false accusations and police misconduct, authorities might have attempted to add more charges. Based on these experiences, the client offered advice to others dealing with potential altercations, particularly in public, suggesting recording any issues with phones or body cameras. They also advised minimizing communication with police or the FBI during investigations, invoking the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, mentioning any video footage if innocent, and immediately contacting Brandon Burrell, guaranteeing satisfaction based on their own positive outcome. The client concluded by stating that following this advice, they have experienced no further false accusations or police misconduct situations.
In stark contrast to this positive account, two other reviews present significant criticisms regarding the firm's responsiveness and follow-through, specifically in the context of a potential civil rights lawsuit related to alleged police misconduct. One reviewer stated they wanted to file a lawsuit due to "extreme police misconduct, brutality, and violations" of their rights. This individual claimed that the "attorney" (presumably Brandon Burrell) promised to follow up the very next day after their initial contact, but that this never occurred. The reviewer reported multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach out to the firm.
A subsequent review appears to be from the same individual or someone with a similar experience, expressing strong dissatisfaction with the lack of communication and action. This reviewer suggested that if the attorney was unwilling to do the job, they should quit. They found it ironic that the firm seemed to highlight the importance of knowing one's rights against allegedly corrupt police, yet appeared "too scared or incapable" of taking action in such cases. These negative reviews raise serious concerns about the firm's client communication and willingness to pursue certain types of cases, particularly those involving civil rights claims against law enforcement.
Considering these conflicting accounts, it is challenging to definitively characterize the environment and services of Burrell Counsel, LLC. The positive review suggests a dedicated and effective advocate in criminal defense matters, particularly those involving allegations of police misconduct, demonstrating a willingness to fight for an acquittal even in the face of significant pressure from law enforcement and prosecutors. This suggests a tenacious and determined approach in certain criminal defense cases.
However, the negative reviews paint a picture of potential unreliability in follow-up and a possible reluctance or inability to handle civil rights lawsuits related to police misconduct. This discrepancy indicates that the firm's services and client engagement might vary significantly depending on the nature of the case. Potential clients should be aware of these differing experiences when considering Burrell Counsel, LLC.
The features of Burrell Counsel, LLC, as perceived through the reviews, include a potential strength in aggressive criminal defense, particularly when allegations of police misconduct are involved, as evidenced by the acquittal in the misdemeanor case. Brandon Burrell is described as someone who will fight for his clients and is knowledgeable about issues related to interactions with law enforcement. However, a potential drawback appears to be inconsistent communication and possible reluctance to pursue civil rights litigation related to police misconduct, based on the negative feedback.
There is no explicit promotional information available for Burrell Counsel, LLC, in the provided text. The positive testimonial acts as an implicit promotion for their criminal defense capabilities, particularly in cases involving alleged police misconduct. The detailed advice offered by the satisfied client could also be seen as indirectly promoting the firm by associating it with knowledge of how to handle interactions with law enforcement. However, the negative reviews significantly temper any positive promotional impact, suggesting that potential clients should conduct further due diligence.
In conclusion, Burrell Counsel, LLC, in Largo, MD, presents a mixed profile based on the available online reviews. While one client experienced exceptional representation leading to an acquittal in a misdemeanor case involving alleged police misconduct, praising Brandon Burrell's aggressive and determined advocacy, other potential clients have reported significant issues with communication and a lack of follow-through in a potential civil rights lawsuit against law enforcement. Local users considering Burrell Counsel, LLC, should weigh these contrasting experiences and potentially seek further information to determine if the firm's services align with their specific legal needs, particularly if their case involves civil rights claims related to police misconduct.

I was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor on very weak evidence and Brandon worked hard to acquit me of the charges that I did not commit despite the police, FBI, and prosecutors doing everything they can to convict me despite weak evidence and not agreeing to any kind of plea agreement despite this being my first arrest and first time I got charges like this. I was acquitted after trial despite numerous attempts to reach out to settle this amicably. I strongly recommend Brandon if you face similar issues especially related to police misconduct. The week before trial where I was acquitted of charges I was victim of another episode of police misconduct when they investigated false accusations by a neighbor which I caught on body camera. Without Brandon and the body camera footage I caught documenting false accusations and police misconduct investigating the false allegations I believe they may have tried to add more charges. Be careful dealing with the police and FBI. Just a tip: record any issues with others your phone or a body camera if there is potential altercation with someone. Especially if you are in public. If police or FBI arrive to investigate this say as little as possible, plead the 5th, say you have video footage especially if you know you did nothing, and call Brandon. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. It is what I did and no more of these false accusations and police misconduct situations are arising.
I wanted to file a lawsuit as a result of extreme police misconduct, brutality, and violations of my rights. This "attorney" claimed he was going to contact me to follow up the very next day after our initial contact. That never happened. I've tried multiple times to reach out, still nothing. If this guy doesn't want to do his job, he should quit. Funny how he seems to highlight the fact that you should know your rights against corrupt police, but apparently he's too scared or incapable to actually doing anything.
Mr Burrell’s wife referred him to me and he gave me a call the day I got out of jail. Said he could help me get my situation resolved. Now that the statute of limitations has expired he no longer wants to take the case any longer. Says it’s too much time and money into filing a lawsuit. Why take it on in the first place is my only question. Not once did he contact me about any of this the whole 3.5 years I’ve been in this situation. I would definitely not recommend this guy to represent anyone.
Don’t recommend using for criminal cases poor communication, handled case how he wanted, constantly requested money but had no communication with case. (Edit+ attachments) after leaving the review this is what Mr.Burrell had to say for himself
This is THEE BEST lawyer I’ve ever come across! I was one of the first ones wrongly arrested at the Capital on Jan 6. My phones were taken away etc! He starting filing motions the very next day! He worked so hard I believe I am the first and only person out of everyone to get my phone back thanks to HIM! The DC government tries to play games and he does NOT BACK DOWN! And he is STILL fighting my case for me right now! If you want a lawyer that going to fight for you then Mr Brandon Burrell is your lawyer! Thank you Mr Burrell for everything you do! ***UPDATE**** CASE DISMISSED!
