Couldn’t have asked for better in my experience with Jason. Always there when I needed him and ultimately made my experience fairly seamless. He is very funny, down to earth and just wants what’s best for his clients!!
I’d give no stars if I could. If you don’t want to see your child and don’t want an attorney that will communicate with you, then this is your guy. He made it clear to me that the court system works slow. However, he is unable to reach by phone, I sent countless emails with questions that went unanswered, and never even got to meet with him in person. The most recent failure is after I emailed him, sent him screenshots of text messages between my daughters mom and me, stating that we are switching the weekend of when I am having my daughter and it will be AFTER I got off work. So he writes up a motion stating 9am-7pm for me to have my child which made the mother believe I would be off of work resulting in me missing a day. Jason is not to blame for me being in a court situation. However, he did nothing to help my situation other than take over $12,000 of my money. I heard from “my attorney” twice in the last two months and I sent multiple emails asking multiple questions. Any time I tried to call I would have to leave a message and never got a call back.
The man is a crook. Somehow he charged me more than 2x what my ex paid for her lawyer. Leaves emails unanswered, rarely responds to voice messages. Used car salesman of lawyers - will promise you that you're getting a great deal, but refuses to acknowledge his lemon level of service when confronted. Was consistently unprepared for court, while blaming other counsel of "being sloppy" and blames results on the judge and not his own incompetence. He also charges more per hour than most lawyers and bills for unworked hours. Can I give negative stars? Would not recommend. Update: Jason also never sent me final court decisions surrounding the Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law related to my divorce. He had sent across a motion to alter/amend/vacate portions of that ruling without first letting me see the document (did not address anything we had discussed). The judge made final decisions on that motion TWO WEEKS BEFORE our engagement ended, which means the window to appeal was also open at the time. I was completely uninformed as it is counsel's (i.e. Jason) responsibility to pass this information to those they represent, and that never happened. So three months later I thought we were still waiting on final decisions and my opportunity to appeal was gone. I requested several times for him to forward me emails regarding communications with my ex's attorney, which he said he'd get around to (but never did). For those unaware, it his LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY to send those. Better yet, I still get reminders over a year later about my outstanding balance... Trying to get promoted to the Supreme Court given these levels of incompetence? Sadly, that's status quo for Kentucky... Edit to make sure this one is staying at the top. Now he has his son giving him Google reviews (Nicholas Bowman)? How low can you go?
I wish I could give him 0 stars. Jason completely neglects his clients. There's zero communication. He charged hundreds of dollars to file a motion, told us the motion had been signed by a judge, and then a month later said it never went in front of a judge because the defendant agreed to our terms (which they went back on, obviously). He collected thousands of dollars, avoided our calls and emails for months, and never worked the case. Now he's refusing to send us an invoice on the basis of the contracts he has his clients sign. Buyer beware!!!
I have used Jason twice for my custody needs. Both times he has gone above and beyond for my family. He was great with communication, gave all the knowledge needed to make informed decisions and truly made greatness happen. So glad to have my family together still. I would recommend him to anybody, hands down the best attorney in Louisville for family needs. Hopefully I won’t need a lawyer again, but if I do, I would immediately call Bowman. Excited to see his future endeavors in the Supreme Court. Thanks Jason!!!
