This platform aims to connect local users with legal professionals who can assist with various needs.

Baker & Baker Attorneys can be reached at (704) 895-7969 or their mobile number +1 704-895-7969. Their physical office in Huntersville suggests a commitment to serving the local community. When considering a legal firm, understanding their environment, the services they offer, their key features, and any available promotional information is crucial for making an informed decision.

Based on publicly available information, assessing the environment of Baker & Baker Attorneys involves considering their physical location and online presence. Situated in Huntersville, NC, the office at 9620 Holly Point Dr #102 indicates a local practice serving the surrounding areas. Their presence in the 'Nearby Lawyers' category further suggests they aim to be accessible to individuals and businesses within the vicinity seeking legal counsel.

Regarding the services offered by Baker & Baker Attorneys, the limited information available online, particularly the customer reviews, primarily focuses on real estate transactions. One positive review mentions multiple successful real estate closings with Laura Baker, highlighting her professionalism, thoroughness, and pleasant demeanor. This suggests that real estate law, including handling closings, might be a significant part of their practice. However, the absence of detailed information on their website or other public platforms makes it difficult to definitively list all the legal services they provide. It is common for law firms to handle a range of legal matters, potentially including business law, estate planning, and other related areas. To gain a comprehensive understanding of their service offerings, direct inquiry is recommended.

Identifying the specific features of Baker & Baker Attorneys requires careful consideration of the available information, especially the contrasting customer experiences. The positive review emphasizes professionalism, thoroughness, and a friendly approach. These could be considered key features for clients seeking smooth and reliable real estate transaction handling. However, a significantly negative review raises serious concerns about the firm's ethics, responsiveness, and transparency. Allegations of dishonesty, unethical behavior, and unresponsiveness paint a starkly different picture. The specific claims in the negative review include accusations of misrepresenting their ability to handle assignment contracts, potentially attempting to inflate closing costs through a double closing, and a lack of communication. Furthermore, the review mentions concerns about the qualifications of a paralegal within the firm. These conflicting accounts make it challenging to definitively state the firm's features without further objective information or clarification.

Currently, there is no readily available promotional information for Baker & Baker Attorneys. Law firms often rely on their reputation and word-of-mouth referrals, and in today's digital age, online reviews play a significant role in shaping that reputation. The stark contrast in the provided reviews suggests that potential clients should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging their services.

It is important to approach the information presented with objectivity. The positive review suggests a satisfactory experience with real estate closings, highlighting positive attributes such as professionalism and thoroughness. This indicates that some clients have found their services to be beneficial. However, the detailed and serious allegations in the negative review cannot be ignored. Accusations of dishonesty, unethical conduct, and poor communication are significant and should prompt potential clients to seek further information and potentially consider alternative legal counsel. The user who posted the negative review explicitly advises against trusting this law firm and details attempts to resolve the issue that were allegedly ignored. They also mention filing complaints with various regulatory bodies, which further underscores the seriousness of their allegations.

The discrepancy between the two reviews highlights the importance of considering multiple perspectives when evaluating a service provider. While one client reports a positive experience, the other details a highly negative and costly encounter. Without additional information or a response from Baker & Baker Attorneys addressing the concerns raised in the negative review, it is difficult to form a completely objective assessment of their overall service quality and ethical practices. Potential clients are advised to consider both positive and negative feedback, conduct their own research, and potentially seek consultations with multiple law firms before making a decision.

In conclusion, Baker & Baker Attorneys is a local law firm in Huntersville, NC, listed under the 'Nearby Lawyers' category. While one review suggests positive experiences with real estate closings, another presents serious allegations of dishonesty, unethical behavior, and poor communication. Due to the conflicting nature of this limited information, local users seeking legal services are strongly advised to conduct thorough research, consider all available feedback, and potentially seek consultations with other law firms in the area to ensure they find legal representation that meets their needs and expectations.

Dishonest, unethical, unresponsive, SHADY are words to sum up my awful experience with this law firm that just cost me $8,000! On September 10th I went under contract to purchase a 1-acre lot, PID: 31526 in Lincoln County for $55k. My intention was to build a duplex there, turns out this was not possible. So, I listed the property on FB marketplace and some other sites but didn't get any serious buyers. A couple of weeks later I teamed up with Jimmond Thomas with EXP realty to list it on the MLS & hopefully find a buyer within the time necessary to close on this property, December 6th. I was VERY clear this MUST be an assignment, he agreed. I had a very standard, very simple assignment contract that's been used thousands of times around the Charlotte area. Jim found a buyer on October 25th, we went under contract for $67k. I was to be responsible for all closing costs along with paying Jim a commission. Jim said the buyer wanted to use him as the buyer agent and so he was going to be a dual agent. I was a little hesitant to agree to this but figured, hopefully Jim will take care of everything! When the buyer chose this law firm I confirmed with Jim multiple times that they are able to do this type of transaction and pay an assignment fee. I was told, "attorney is on board" & "everything looks good!" Fast forward to November 19th & I'm told that this attorney no longer will do an assignment, they are requiring that we do a double closing (likely so they can make double the closing costs). I said, I'm paying for all closing costs, I'm not paying for 2 closings, there's absolutely no reason to, furthermore I have no interest in wiring someone $55k only to hope that they wire me back $64k-ish a day or two later. If an attorney is going to lie about being able to do an assignment transaction and require a double close then how am I going to trust them enough to send them $55k? I called the attorney to try and discuss the situation, Laura doesn't feel the need to call me back. I ask Jim for help to try and facilitate this, Jim says, that's not his job! WOW, I'm in total shock & disbelieve at the low level of service I've been provided from both EXP Realty & the shady Baker law firm. I made every attempt to try and work this out and both Jim & Laura are no longer responding to me. I guess they think I'm just going to walk away from the $8k-ish assignment fee I was due in this transaction. Well, that's not going to happen! After further looking around I found out that the paralegal assigned to our case, Marcia Long is not even an NC certified paralegal. Again, I reached out to Laura, stated all the above information and asked her if she knew that she has a paralegal on staff who is not certified, she continues to ignore me. DO NOT TRUST THIS LAW FIRM! They blatantly lied, could have fixed it! Laura took it upon herself to have buyer & seller sign new contract removing me from the deal altogether! That's extremely shady, unethical and deceitful! Laura Baker should not be practicing real estate transactions in the state of NC. Obviously this is resulting in numerous complaints with; the BBB, DOJ, NCREC, NC Bar, Yelp, Google, and every other means of filing a complaint available. She can ignore me but she can't ignore NC Bar, she will be required to respond to my complaint there. We will take her response and add it to my lawsuit against her firm that will be filed shortly thereafter. I would strongly suggest avoiding this law firm at all costs!
