Divorce is often an emotionally and legally complex process. Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation presents itself as a resource with the "experience, knowledge, and compassion to guide you through your divorce with grace and fairness." This suggests a client-centered approach that prioritizes understanding and addressing the concerns of both parties involved in the divorce. The aim is to facilitate a resolution that is in the best interest of the entire family, particularly if children are involved. This approach contrasts with traditional litigation, where parties may find themselves in an adversarial position, potentially leading to increased conflict and emotional strain.

One client review highlights the positive aspects of working with Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation, stating, "They listen and address your concerns and come to a resolution that is best for the entire family. I highly recommend Alpha!!" This testimonial underscores the mediator's role in facilitating communication, understanding individual needs, and guiding the parties towards a mutually agreeable settlement. The emphasis on a resolution that benefits the whole family suggests a focus on long-term well-being rather than solely on individual gains.

However, another review presents a point of concern regarding the transparency of their pricing structure. This potential client called to inquire about the cost of services and was informed that they charge a flat rate that varies. Despite attempting to gain more specific information, such as an average price range for different levels of divorce complexity, the individual was told that this information would only be provided during a consultation. The reviewer expressed frustration with the prospect of undergoing multiple hour-long consultations with different mediators solely to ascertain their fees, suggesting a desire for more upfront information regarding pricing averages for "mild" versus "complicated" divorces. This feedback indicates a potential area for improvement in providing initial cost-related information to prospective clients.

Divorce mediation, the core service offered by Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation, is a process where a neutral third party – the mediator – helps divorcing couples communicate and negotiate the terms of their separation. The mediator does not make decisions for the couple but facilitates a discussion to help them reach their own agreements on issues such as:

  • Asset Division: Determining how marital property, including finances, real estate, and personal belongings, will be divided between the parties.
  • Child Custody and Visitation: Establishing a parenting plan that outlines legal and physical custody arrangements, as well as a schedule for when each parent will have the children.
  • Child Support: Calculating the financial support one parent will provide to the other for the care of their children, based on state guidelines and the parents' incomes.
  • Spousal Support (Alimony): Determining if one spouse will provide financial support to the other, and if so, the amount and duration of such payments.

The features of Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation, based on the available reviews, include:

  • Experienced and Knowledgeable Mediators: The firm is described as having the necessary experience and knowledge to guide couples through the divorce process.
  • Compassionate Approach: They aim to handle divorces with "grace and fairness," suggesting an empathetic and understanding approach to the emotional challenges involved.
  • Focus on Client Concerns: The mediators are reported to listen to and address the concerns of both parties.
  • Family-Centered Resolution: The goal is to reach agreements that are in the best interest of the entire family, indicating a holistic perspective.

Called to get an idea of how much their services would cost. All the person could tell me was that they charge a flat rate and it varies. I tried to get more information like what was the average range and she said she couldn't tell me I would have to do the consultation. We don't have time to do a one hour consultation over and over with mediators just to find out the price. These folks should be able to tell what the averages are for 'mild' vs. complicated divorces. If they can't tell me that then I don't have time for them.
