his company was hired by the seller to provide closing and has been negligent in the handling and closing of the contract. the law firm chosen by the purchaser to close on a property and they have done all but that and in fact have relied on me more so to do their job and yet I will be responsible for paying them at the end of this process for a service that was not provided to me. I find this negligent practice and a significant conflict of interest given this company was chosen and forced upon me by the seller. This company preys upon the consumer as in this setting there is limited action that can be taken by a consumer. unfortunately we continue to be at the mercy of these predatory companies that provide no service but continue to be funded under obligation.

As a professional legal services provider, ALAW & Albertelli Whitworth, like many law firms, typically does not advertise traditional "promotions" or "special offers" in the same way a retail business might. The legal industry operates under strict ethical guidelines that often preclude direct promotional discounts on services. Legal fees are generally based on the complexity of the case, the time required, and the attorney's expertise. Therefore, you are unlikely to find advertised percentage discounts or "buy-one-get-one-free" deals for legal services.
However, what law firms may offer, and what clients should inquire about, are different billing structures or initial consultation policies. For instance, some firms offer:
- Initial Consultations: Many law firms provide an initial consultation, which might be free or offered at a reduced rate. This allows potential clients to discuss their legal matter with an attorney, understand their options, and get an estimate of potential costs before committing to full representation. It's an excellent opportunity to assess if the firm is the right fit for your needs.
- Contingency Fees: In certain types of cases, particularly personal injury or some debt collection cases, a firm might work on a contingency fee basis. This means the attorney's fee is a percentage of the amount recovered, and if no recovery is made, the client does not pay attorney fees (though other costs might still apply). This structure isn't typically applicable to real estate transactions or general advisory work but is common in other legal fields.
- Flat Fees: For certain routine legal services, such as drafting a simple will or handling a straightforward real estate closing, a firm might offer a flat fee rather than an hourly rate. This provides cost predictability for the client.
- Payment Plans: Depending on the case and the firm's policy, they might offer flexible payment plans to help clients manage the cost of legal services.
To learn about any specific fee structures, consultation policies, or payment arrangements offered by ALAW & Albertelli Whitworth, it is always best to contact them directly. A direct conversation will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding their service costs and potential ways to structure your engagement with them.
