I am deeply disappointed with my experience with this law firm and am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Bar Association. This firm, led by Chris Spuches, has demonstrated a blatant disregard for their clients' well-being, focusing instead on chasing retainers and maximizing their own financial gain. I hired this firm for four separate cases, which were described initially as "no-brainers" and "slam dunks" by Chris Spuches. However, he later denied ever making those statements. Despite charging me $10,000–$12,000 in "deposits," their billing practices are unlike any ethical law firm I’ve worked with. Most reputable firms charge retainers, where billable hours are deducted from the amount deposited. This firm, however, calls these charges “deposits” but bills over and above that amount. If a client is dissatisfied, they simply apply “new hours” against the “deposit” and drop the client, leaving the client out of pocket without resolutions. This practice is unethical, misleading, and unlike anything I’ve encountered in years of working with attorneys as a professional investment banker frequently involved in litigation. Chris Spuches started strong but eventually informed me that he had taken on a larger client and no longer had time for my cases. Without my consent, my cases were delegated to a junior associate I did not hire, only to be further shuffled to another attorney who ultimately refused to handle my matters. All this happened after taking significant payments without resolving a single issue. One case was so poorly handled that I had to resolve it myself after opposing counsel informed me they had made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact Chris Spuches. This delay not only increased my legal costs but also led to a counter-lawsuit. To add insult to injury, I provided Chris with a key document from the outset that could have resolved the issue months earlier. When I took matters into my own hands, I achieved a resolution in five days—something Chris and his team failed to do in five months. This firm has failed its fiduciary duty to me as a client in every way possible. They have no respect for their clients, no accountability, and no professionalism. Their deposit-based billing structure is a clear money-grab operation disguised as a law firm. My experience with them has been an expensive lesson, and I strongly urge others to stay far away from this firm.
Christopher Spuches is an exceptionally professional lawyer who consistently delivers outstanding results. His expertise and meticulous attention to detail make a remarkable impact on legal matters. The team at Agentis PLLC is equally impressive, offering top-notch support throughout the entire process. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of reliable legal representation!
About two years ago, my mother and I had the unfortunate discovery that a family trust might not have been handled in the manner in which the grantor intended and not knowing what to do or who to hire, I sought the advice of a very close real estate attorney friend who suggested I speak to Chris Spuches. Having lived in Miami our entire lives and having heard from my attorney father for decades who were supposedly the best litigators in the community, we interviewed several attorneys before moving forward, including a few that my father would speak highly of over the years. We suspected that this was going to become a long and complicated lawsuit and choosing the right attorney was not just critical to winning the case, but essential because that person was going to become a part of our daily lives. Suffice to say that this was one of the most important decisions we would ever have to make as the consequences either way were tremendous. There is no doubt that any of the old time big name litigators would have been the safe choice, but the fact is, they would have been the wrong choice! From the very moment we met Chris Spuches, we were certain that he was going to be our guy. Chris is not just incredibly bright, he is also methodical, intuitive, perceptive and strategic. Furthermore he has a fantastic ability to articulate and turn the often complicated legalese into language that is easily understood. Surprising to us though, was the fact that he is soft-spoken, which is not just only opposite of what we expected, but is clearly the asset that he uses to win over others because his arguments come through in a genuinely honest and powerful manner. That said, and as much as he is soft spoken, he is not the attorney you want on the other side of any battle because he has a remarkable way of navigating the witness exactly where he wants them to go. Nothing he does or says is haphazard. His strategy is obviously carefully planned and repeatedly tested before he enters the court and it is very apparent given the many rulings the court has made in our favor, all of which have been devastating to the other side. Of equal importance to me is that Chris is patient and understanding. I will be the first to say that I am not the easiest of clients, but somehow, Chris has kept me focused, calm and tempered and he has done the same with my mother. If ever there was something for us to get worked up about, it would be the horrendous and shocking events of this case and the terribly upsetting fact that it has ripped apart a family. Yet somehow, Chris has managed us the same way he has managed the lawsuit, perfectly. There are thousands of litigators in South Florida, but there is only one for us and Chris Spuches is that person. I simply cannot recommend or frankly imagine, a better litigator anywhere and having found him has helped turn darkness and even moments of despair, into optimism, victory and the happiness we had temporarily lost.
Chris Spuches and Agentis law are fantastic! I wouldn't think of any other law firm to handle my commercial litigation. They are a must see for your commercial litigation needs.
We couldn’t have found a better lawyer and office to represent our business. Thank you April Stone for all of your hard work on our case. I highly recommend working with Agentis and their representatives.
