Alex cohen, and his partners are unorthodox. This firm is not your typical firm. Their ultimate goal is to get expanded. Change name, change location at your cost. While you sign your retainer, by design, they never sign it and will re write it as needed to benefit themselves. Other clients have taken them to court and CA State Bar has issued them citations. According to his CA State Bar profile, his law degree was from Kensington University; an unaccredited distance education institution that was based at different times in California and Hawaii. Kensington University was eventually shut down by state authorities in both states. In our case, they court sanctioned them multiple times for variety of causes. At the end, we got defruated by the firm's rewritten agreement which we were threten to sign. We did not see a penny despite the standard contingency retainer agreement that we signed. You too will be victimized.
